Prior to having this procedure done, I got pretty freaked out after reading all the reviews here and almost cancelled my procedure. Since my experience has been very positive, I wanted to throw my two cents in. I should probably preface this by stating that a friend of mine had done the coolscultping procedure at this same spa a few months before I did and was very happy with the procedure and had no issues whatsoever with her recovery. The technician (Jennifer) that did my procedure weighed and measured me and went over what areas I could treat and we agreed on starting with two applications of the advantage paddles in a sort of v shape on my belly. I was very very nervous going into this procedure and Jenn was very reassuring and answered all my questions honestly. Once the first paddle was applied and suction and cooling was turned on, I found the sensation to be very uncomfortable (I don't think anyone is used to having their fat sucked up into a device) but not painful and it did get much easier to bear after the first ten minutes just as the tech described. The advantage paddles are a shorter treatment time so after about 40 min, side one was done. Removing the paddle was a big relief, massaging the frozen area...not so much lol. The 2 min massage was probably the worst part of the procedure but even that I did not find to be excruciating the way some people describe it. Side two went pretty much exactly the same as the first side. After I was done, I felt well enough to drive myself home though the treated areas did feel a bit weird and swelling started right away. Upon coming home, I put on a compression garment per the tech's advice, which I kept on 24/7 for the next 3.5 days or so. After the procedure, the treated areas, especially below my navel felt bruised or like i did a really hard ab workout and I was pretty swollen. The soreness was worst on days 2 and 3 then gradually went away to where I was barely even aware of it by day 5. Swelling went down gradually over the first 7 days or so and was gone enough to where i didnt really need the compression garment by day 4. I'm still wearing leggings rather than jeans but that is mostly because I am lazy. I'm ten days out now and haven't had any issues at all with pain or anything else. My activity hasn't been limited at all at any point in time and while the treated areas do feel itchy from time to time, i don't find it bothersome at all. Swelling at this point is very minor and I am looking forward to seeing changes in the coming weeks.
