Q: Bulge in glabella after having Botox. Can this be fixed with more Botox? (Photos)
Answered by Julie BrackenburyJune 3, 2019

A: i don't know your history but if you were completely new to toxin treatment, I would have maybe started with a less is more approach. However, it is difficult to assess without knowing the dosages that were administered. When there are not many dynamic lines to treat, less toxin is required and a scattered approach tends to work well for an eyebrow lift.

Your practitioner should be able to advise you and maybe a small amount will help the glabella area. Thereafter, my advice would be to await for the effects to wear off and start with less next time.

I hope this helps

Best wishes

Q: Would fillers be a solution to my tear trough deformity? Or are my eyes to severe that they require surgery? (photos)
Answered by Julie BrackenburyJune 3, 2019

A: Dear bcampo

You are a good candidate for non-surgical tear trough rejuvenation. However, given your age I would highly recommend the least invasive procedure initially.

It is important to see whether the results are suitable for you and a hyaluronic acid dermal filler would be in the best option in my opinion.

Cannula's  are the best way to administer a HA for this area.

Please research your practitioner carefully.

Best wishes

Q: Should I get face fillers or Botox injections? (photo)
Answered by Julie BrackenburyFebruary 21, 2019

A: My advice would be to start with some anti-wrinkle treatment to the crows feet initally. If you have never had any non-surgical treatments before, it can be quite overwhelming to do down the non-surgical face lift route for a first treatment. From a patient perspective, it's good to see how anti-wrinkle and dermal fillers can work for you - gain trust in the product, aesthetic outcome and your practitioner. It maybe that you decide that you can actually wait a few more years before having a minimally invasive treatment.

Q: Revolax tear trough fillers gone horribly wrong. Will this resolve itself? (photos)
Answered by Julie BrackenburyFebruary 12, 2019

A: Sorry to hear you have had an unwanted side effect to this dermal filler. I have treated many tear trough deformities and swelling can be a side effect but should resolve quite soon as the body gets used to the filler. If injections to this area are too superficial, there is certainly a risk of blocking the lymphatic drainage system - which causes the swelling. If the swelling is still present, I recommend you are reviewed by your practitioner as you may well need the filler dissolved. Please make sure your practitioner is qualified to administer this procedure
