Today I had my first picosure laser tattoo removal on forearm. My tattoo is a sunflower about the size of your palm (3x3") It has been 2 hours post treatment and I am having minor stinging. The treatment itself was very similar to getting a tattoo. They had me put lidocaine numbing cream 5% for about 45 minutes before treatment. It really helped take the edge off. The treatment itself took about 5 minutes. The tattoo turned very white right after. They call that "frosting". I noticed a lot of the shading eliminated already. I am excited to look at the improvement over the next few weeks.Updated on 2 May 2017: Sorry for delay on photos! I finally have had the chance to upload onto my computer. It has now been 8 weeks post Picosure laser treatment on my forearm. This coming Thursday will be my second treatment! I will keep you all updated on results :) I am extremely happy so far with the first treatment. They removed much of the shading.Updated on 8 Aug 2017: Hi! So sorry on my late response. I promise I am going to get better at updating my progress much faster. I have now had 3 treatments total out of an estimated 7. The second treatment was much less painful than the first. I had very little down time and it only stung for about 3 days. The third treatment was the least painful of all of them so far! I asked them what the reason for that was, and they said that the less ink that is in the skin; the less the laser has to break down. They did use the strongest level on me for the third treatment which made for minor blistering for about 4 days. It wasn't extremely painful.. it just looked really red and slightly bumpy. If you follow the care instructions and use lots of aquaphor you will be just fine.
I went to Ink Free MD for laser tattoo removal. I was going for treatments at Dr. Tattoff, and they suddenly closed their doors, leaving me with 1/2 of my treatments left, and without a refund. I heard about Ink Free MD from a friend who had great results. The Doctor was thorough, diligent, very informative and made me feel comfortable. I wish I came here in the first place!
I had been looking for somewhere to get rid of my 20 year old tattoo for a while and finally decided to take the plunge. Inkfree is a great place, they are very knowledgeable and professional. It does hurt a lot, but they have a numbing cream that makes a huge difference. Very happy with my results!
This was my first time to seek out having a laser treatment done and visited several “spa” places for consultations. Since this was my first time doing this type of procedure I was nervous, the other “spa” type places I've been to just for a consultation were beyond overwhelming. They were more focused to try to sell me packages I didn’t want or need. Being owned and operated by a doctor, this facility is more medically oriented while giving me the personalized treatment I was wanting. They earned my trust the moment I checked in, as they didn’t try to make me feel bad for my issues but wanted to help resolve them. So far I have been thrilled with the results and the quality of care I’ve received. I’ve already started recommending this to family and friends!
I had been thinking of having an old tattoo removed for quite a while, so I did my research on different places, and ended up at Inkfree, MD, after doing an initial cost-free evaluation. The doctor and staff were warm and knowledgable, and answered all of my questions fully. It's a small family business, and they make the process as un-intimidating and straightforward as possible. I was really nervous when it came to the actual removal, and they put me at ease and were very patient with me. They also have this awesome numbing cream that I'm sure made a big difference. I'm not saying it doesn't hurt, it does, but it wasn't as bad as I imagined it. After 5 treatments, my tattoo is completely gone! I have very pale, sensitive skin, scratches and wounds always turn very red (and often scar!,) but once the redness faded, I was left with ink-free, scar-free skin! I am so glad I went to Inkfree, MD, and wish I had done it sooner! I'm going back to do some laser hair removal. Two thumbs up!
I'm assuming that this is a new tattoo and it just started itching. It sounds like you may have an allergy to some of the components of the red ink. This is not an uncommon reaction, but lasering it is not the answer and could potentially make things worse You will need to be treated for an allergic reaction by a medical professional. You can start by taking an over-the-counter antihistamine such as benadryl or Zyrtec but you will probably need stronger, prescription medications. Good luck
Hi there, this tattoo should come out nicely with the Enlighten or any picosecond laser. The ink doesn't look that saturated and black is the easiest color to remove. You should expect between 4-6 treatments. Good luck!
You can absolutely take cetirizine while undergoing laser hair removal. It is an antihistamine which does not make your skin more sensitive to the sun. If you should have any itching or sensitivity after the treatments, it might actually help!
Hi there, generally hypopigmentation caused by lasers and tinea versicolor are two different things. Tinea is caused by a fungus which generally responds well to topical treatments and gradual UV light exposure. Your primary care doctor should be able to diagnose and treat you if it is tinea versicolor. Your skin looks good, the hypopigmented areas appear mild and your natural color should return either way. Good luck!
The good news is that is a new tattoo, so the ink has yet to settle into the dermis. Newer tattoos are generally easier to remove as is black ink. You should find a provider that uses Pico technology as results are generally achievable in fewer visits and with less risk of adverse effects such as hypo/hyperpigmentation and scarring. I would estimate between 4-6 for this tattoo. Good luck!
