I had my procedure done in two phases. The neck area was done in December. I just had the “full face” (note - Ideal Image doesnt include the chin or upper lip in the fee for “full face”) done Jan 14. Ideal Image is a discount operation. No real physicians. After this experience, i strongly encourage you to use a facility with accredited doctors and nurses. The procedure was described as uncomfortable. A severe understatement. They offer no numbing creams, no pain meds, no ice between passes. I have a high pain tolerance. I delivered a 10 pound baby with no anesthesia. I would rate that experience at a 6 on pain, and Ultherapy at an 11. My neck has had some improvement in the first month. Initially I had marks, swelling, redness. My skin felt thick and swollen. My neck is starting to feel normal again. Right now my face is swollen with demarkations, red rake like marks across my forehead and cheeks. Large lumpy swollen areas. I have been using ice packs and thank God I have no appointments for a few days. I am trying this to give myself a few more years before a lower face lift. Updated on 18 Jan 2020: I have read multiple reviews and think my horror story is simply operator error at the hands of untrained staff. In addition to the red rake marks all over my face (from misuse, too strong power) which are really internal burns, I now have broken capillaries, sever bruising, my entire lower face is a rainbow of green, yellow, purple and red.i wont be leaving the house anytime soon! Updated on 16 Mar 2020: All the bruising, red rake marks, swelling are gone. Dont really see any marked improvement in neck or face now that the swelling has gone down. For the first month my skin felt thick and lumpy (swelling) but has returned to normal. Still have the lax skin in my neck. Dont really see any improvement in my face either. It was an expensive experiment to see if I could defer a costly lower face lift. My advice, save your money and get a lift. This treatment isnt effective. It could be my age (58) and this may be better suited for women under 45, but I took he chance as my skin is in much better shape than others my age (very limited sun exposure, non smoker). Updated on 16 Mar 2020: Here are my photos. I dont feel the results are significant enough to justify the cost, pain and down time. Fillers would have done a better job. Was hoping for more neck improvement but still have loose bands.
