Overall I am absolutely delighted with my experience at ID plastic surgery in Seoul. I was listened to very carefully and I am grateful for the teams professionalism, all of my needs were fulfilled beyond my initial expectation. I wouldn’t change anything about my experience I was treated with the utmost respect and consideration during the surgical process and aftercare. The operation process was well conducted. The doctor's provided helpful suggestions in achieving the look I wanted, overall perfect healing experience. I’ve never felt better!

I got a rhinoplasty, jawline reduction, cheekbone reduction, fat injected to my forehead.

The staff was very friendly and supportive throughout the whole process.

They had English translators and me visuals of what the process was going to look like.

They provided spa treatment twice for my face and were very very gentle with the stitches.

One month ago I had a forehead reduction in ID Hospital and it was worth it for sure. Starting from the beginning, my stay in Korea was very convenient. Id helped me to book a hotel and provided a shuttle bus to the clinic so it made my check up appointments much easier. The hotel was also nice and comfortable , so I enjoyed my stay there. As for the surgery, I chose Korea because I couldn’t find a reliable surgeon for a forehead reduction. I was nervous to travel by myself, but the clinic organized my schedule, from A to Z. I got the information about every single detail: airport pick up, consultation. surgery precautions, what I can expect after surgery and my after care treatments. Id translator was also very nice and kind. The consultation procedure consisted of meeting translator, consultant and doctor, also taking “before” pictures. By the way, when I was waiting for my consultation in the lobby I was kinda surprised because there were soooo many foreigners.
Anyway my only issue was my wide forehead, so consultant, and then doctor, explained about the procedure and method, and also showed me cases of other patients. My forehead was much bigger than recommended 5-6 centimeters, and it made me a perfect candidate for this surgery. I also felt very comfortable and confident with their doctor Lee Kyung Min, he has a very good bedside manner and experienced with forehead reduction surgery.
During my stay in a ward I was provided with pain killers and a compression garment (that was the most uncomfortable part). The scalp area was numb and swollen, but I haven’t experienced any intense pain. To be honest, I was mentally prepared for the worse recovery, but everything is healing nice. Oh, and no shock hair loss as well.
As for now, the scar is still visible, but it’s not a big deal for me. Forehead reduction improved my confidence a lot, and now it’s much easier to take care of my hairstyle without fringe. I hope this review can help anyone who is planning to get a forehead reduction. It’s definitely worth it, if it’s performed by an experienced doctor

My whole teen and adult life I absolutely hated my forehead. I have hid behind my fringe my whole life (so much that after my surgery and showing people my photos, people were in disbelief at how large my forehead actually was) and felt I never really had a 'nice face' no matter what I did. When the wind would blow, I'd hide My face, in school I remember covering my fringe when it would rain because getting my fringe wet would mean it would go curly and therefore expose my hideous forehead and face.
I discovered the procedure when I was about 18, however as silly as it sounds, it just seemed so gruesome to me and rather an extreme surgery to go through with. I just figured I'd live with it.
Years later (26 years old) i enquired with clinics in South Korea, and decided I wanted to do this more than anything, put my deposit down and waited for my departure. It was finally happening!!
Consultation involved the doctor measuring my forehead, drawing where he will make the incision and going through all the basics with me and preparing me for the next day.
Surgery day, I was nervous as hell. I've had liposuction and breast augmentation before but those things never actually affected my self esteem at all... looking back, my past surgeries were just done in vain. That's absolutely fine but there is a difference when you are getting a surgery for something which really affected your sense of self etc.
I met with the Surgeon before surgery once more to make sure everything was okay and then I was getting prepped for surgery.
Fast forward to waking up:
Pain was minimal. Felt like a dull but tight headache immediately from waking up. The nurses gave me some pain killers in my IV and that was the last I felt of any more 'intense' pain during this whole ordeal. My throat hurt more due to the tube needed for GA and the compression garment was so tight, I feel that caused most of my pain lol. It felt as though I was wearing a hat 3 times too small for my head . Whenever I removed this , I felt immense relief.
I only kept the compression garment on for that evening and half of the next day + night. It was causing me way too much pain.
From the 2nd day onwards, my swelling was around the mid section of the back of my head to the crown of my head. If I touched my scalp, I could feel fluid or air bubbles move around. That was pretty gross but it's all just part of recovery. The fluid was apparently there due to the area receiving trauma and it would make its way out of my body on its own in the deswellimg process. During this time, as there was little to no feeling on my scalp, it's as if I could feel the fluid/air bubbles moving which of course made my scalp itch underneath, however as my scalp had no feeling, it literally was an itch I could not scratch!! It's a hard sensation to describe. Physically it's not too bad, just annoying but it lasts only about 2-3 days.
Recovery is rather smooth sailing in my opinion. Pain was fine. Nothing which required prescription pain Meds. Simple paracetamol was fine.
Results are of course immediate and I can just say I am so pleased with my results. I got about 2.5cm-3cm reduction.
Scarring appears to be ok. It will of course take time for the scar to settle and heal but that's ok and fine.
I'm absolutely over the moon with my new forehead. It's amazing how much of a difference this has made to my self esteem.

I was aspired to look younger but didn't want to look like a plastic. What a better place to go get the enhancement but Korea. Since Gangnam is the best happening place for plastic surgery. All the positive talk about anyone went to Korea and came back looking better. I finally build up enough courage to go after what I had been thinking about for years. It will be exactly two month on the 25th of December.

I tried a lot of procedures before deciding on having an invasive lifting however they wouldn’t make much difference. All those creams and lasers didn’t work for me and my aging face, so I knew that I had to go under the knife because all women in our family are tend to have sagging skin early. I lost the last drop of patience when I noticed so called turkey neck started to appear.
I immediately searched for a place to have lifting, and my husband offered me to go to Korea. It was really scary to go to another country for the first time to get a surgery, but looking back now I can say that the hardest thing was to make a decision. I was convinced by korean plastic surgery results that are very well-known in Asia so my husband and I went to Korea to have a consultation.
To be honest, I was really scared that something would go wrong. I was scared of side effects and that I would have a misunderstanding with doctor, and that all the trip wouldn’t worth it. However the translators, nurses and doctor in ID Hospital made me and my husband feel relieved, and we decided to get a surgery there.
I had 3 procedures at once: acculifting, mini lift and neck lift. I didn’t have questions about acculift and neck lift because I’ve already thought of them before, but I wasn’t sure what mini facelift was. It turned out to be a combination of liposuction and face lifting – a procedure developed by ID doctors. All together it had a stronger effect of lifting ad improving stretched skin, wrinkles and other signs of aging. I didn’t even know procedures like this existed, so I was really excited.
My scars healed great within 1 month. ID Hospital provided stitch removal and some skin care for free, which was really nice. I met my doctor several times for a check up and I still keep in touch with my consultant when I have questions about recovery.
In general I can’t say that it was easy to recover. But the most important thing is that now when the hardest time is in the past I’m over the moon with my result!! I only needed to compare my before / after pics with only 2 weeks difference to understand that it’s all gone really well. I made a collage to show how the saggy skin was tightened.
All I can recommend for those who are looking for a plastic surgery in Korea: go with a friend / family member to support you if you can. My husband supported me a lot while I was recovering after anesthesia, and when I had stitches removed. Apart from psychological aspect plastic surgery in Korea is safe, the result is dramatic and the doctors and hospital staff are great and very caring.

I had an amazing experience with ID for my rhinoplasty revision. My goal for the revision was a sharper, more refined tip since my last rhinoplasty left me with a high bridge but my nostril area was still rather low and flat. My nose was also asymmetrical. From start to finish the consultants and doctors were very patient and accommodating to hearing what I needed as well as communicating what was best for me and what they could reasonably accomplish. 

It’s been about a month post op, so my nose is still a little swollen but I can definitely see a better shape— exactly what we talked about. The recovery process was also very easy— the the following days of the surgery, my pain and swelling were minimal and I was able to explore Korea while waiting to get my nose cast off! I would definitely recommend ID for anyone who is iffy about going to Korea for plastic surgery tourism.

I’ve done all my skin care routine really properly but we all age anyway. I was starting to look my age when I’ve noticed skin sagging. When I’ve got a chance to travel to Korea I was overwhelmed with an opportunity to get some procedures done. I wanted to get a youth restoring procedure that didn’t require long hospitalization because I didn’t have enough time in Korea for a long rehabilitation.
My Korean friend introduced Id hospital to me. She said it is the biggest and the most famous hospital for plastic surgery in Korea, and that they offer various lifting procedures. I was really excited to get a consultation to know about the options. Facelift was way too invasive for my case, so the consultant offered SMAS lift or V3 lift. Both surgeries didn’t require a long time recovery and sounded promising. The doctor recommended V3 lift personally for me. V3 lifting basically tightens saggy skin with threads, removes excessive fat and slims muscles down. The doctor said that I would look much freshier if that’s a right word. I was also impressed that they recommended a slightly cheaper option out of two, so I decided to listen to the doctor’s advise..
And I’m SO GLAD I DID.
I can’t describe how much happier I feel after this decision. The recovery takes a while like any other cosmetic procedure, you need to wait to see the result, but once you do.. you enjoy every moment of your “freshier” self. I followed all instructions down to the tee so my recovery was quick. As for now my husband loves my new look, my co-workers say I look much better, my friends ask what I had done, and as for myself, I don’t need to use filters and photoshop for my pictures anymore. I’m truly much more confident with my face now.
I highly recommend this procedure to anyone who is considering lifting in their middle age. As far as I know it’s a technique developed by Id hospital so it’s impossible to get it elsewhere, but if you are in Korea and willing to enhance your look, get a consultation to see if you are a candidate.
I also cannot skip the doctor. Mr Seo Young Tae is wonderful and pays attention to details. I couldn’t ask for a better surgeon. His professionalism and honesty during the consultation played a huge role in my final decision.
I am happy with my choice and I’m looking forward to come back for a more dramatic lifting in the future to the Id hospital

I’ve always been comfortable knowing someday I would surgically enhance my facial features, however deciding at 21 years old that the time had come for me to go forth with cosmetic surgery to best feel my most comfortable and confident self, as a transgender woman - it was definitely out of my comfort zone! Thankfully, through every interaction with ID Hospital my nerves leading up to the day of surgery were placed more and more at ease. The first time I walked into ID Hospital, the glamorous chandelier and beautiful advertising took me back in awe but once I entered the elevator to travel to the pre-surgical floor for my health check, the perfumed scent of the lobby dispersed and all I could smell was what felt like the most sanitary and clean hospital I’ve ever been to! And that in my opinion is exactly what distinguishes ID Hospital from other clinics, both the beauty, reputation and elite professionalism in providing surgical cosmetic care.

My health check was conducted professionally by various nurses, to whom all made me feel most comfortable and kept the process quick. Some nurses do speak English, and I found the doctors can speak English to an extent but majorly the conversations are in Korean, so thankfully ID Hospital provides a translator to stick with you throughout your journey. The translator provided for me, Julie, was well-spoken when translating conversations and really uplifted me with laughter at times throughout my post-surgery appointments - I miss her!

After the health check, I travelled up in the elevator to the consultation rooms where my pre-consultation was first held. I elaborated on my hopes with each procedure, agreeing with a translator on different things to be shared with my doctors. My facial feminisation surgeries consisted of four separate procedures, conducted by three of ID’s doctors in one operation, so meeting all three doctors for a consultation was a lengthy period. Thankfully with each consultation, I noticed my doctors were all very experienced and intelligent in the areas they were dealing with. I could see they had previously studied my requests, facial structure and pre-planned for the consultation (like an A+ student bringing homework in!). After my consultations with Dr. Chi Young Bang (rhinoplasty) and Dr. Kyung Min Lee (fat grafting), I truly felt heart warmed by the standard of care and acceptance by the staff at ID on my first day. I knew this was the right decision and couldn’t be happier to start fasting for my operation the next day.

And that was the hardest part! Fasting… who would have thought not having a single sip of water for 10 hours would be more of a struggle than recovery from v-line jaw contouring, rhinoplasty, fat grafting and a forehead reduction? My mouth was parched without a lick of water the morning of my surgery, but once again the moment I reached ID Hospital my nerves were dismissed (sort of) as I met the same faces from the day prior, including my translator whom guided me into pre-surgery consultations with each of the doctors. My favourite moment was changing into the cutest cotton ID surgery garbs and having my handsome doctors draw surgery plans on my face with permanent markers. It’s a blur, but I made my way eventually to the surgery table and the anaesthesiologists were super caring, the nurse by my side told me it was normal for my heart rate to be racing like it was and my translator told me everything will be okay! Then it felt like I blinked and woke up again… my first question when waking up from an 8 hour operation was “oh it’s that easy?”, I didn’t believe it had happened, especially because all the same faces from when I went to sleep were still there when I woke up like no time had passed - even my translator. It was comforting knowing the team stuck together through my whole operation.

The overnight recovery room, for patients with v-line jaw contouring, was iconic! It feels like the Hunger Games, or Gilligan’s Island - something desperate as you wait patiently until the nurse advises you’ve overcome the anaesthesia and can sip on water for the first time in 24 hours. Time passed by fast, the IV fluid drip kept me alive and the overnight nurses were wonderfully caring; quick to your aid if need be. I was a little bit dramatic, constantly calling them for no event reasonings when I was actually fine, maybe just bored and of course a princess. The head nurse decided I could sip water, an hour earlier than what had been scheduled. My first sip of water after all I’d been through and it was just like sipping water any other day - I couldn't believe it. The nurse was super caring in that moment, she really went above and beyond to help me walk to the water cooler and encouraged me to keep walking to stretch my legs, dismiss more anaesthesia and begin the de-swelling process. It was cute walking the overnight recovery halls looking like a zombie and I truly have never felt more ecstatic with excitement for my surgery was a success! That feeling is something I’ll never forget after so many months leading up to it with anxious hesitation and all the whirlwind emotions deciding on major life changing cosmetic surgeries. It was then I knew there was no place I’d rather be than ID Hospital and I would 1000% live through the last four paragraphs again in a heartbeat for the happiness, confidence and beauty the experience has brought to my life, but I guess I’ve already lived it.

Recovery is emotional, at times seemingly long with no end in sight and definitely a shock to your mental state, but all the worthwhile. Regular aftercare appointments at ID involving the world’s best post-surgery skincare and laser treatments were great to look forward to throughout recovery along with every check-up being one step closer to seeing surgical results. Every check-up is with the same nurse, translator and you get to speak again with your doctors too, this routine really strengthens the patient-staff relationship and made me feel very much taken care of. The most important note to my recovery was I felt no pain, something I had been more nervous to endure than anaesthesia! My whole face went numb and stayed that way for weeks - a dramatic but enlightening experience, I’m glad 6 months later I feel normal again although I do miss brushing knots in my hair and not feeling a single tug at the scalp.

The nose cast removal and reveal at 7 days post-op fell onto deaf ears and I wish blind eyes too. I’d never seen anything worse in my whole life than a great big swollen nose in the middle of MY face! That moment cemented for me that anything I’m seeing now in the mirror through recovery is not a final result and I have a long way to heal. 3 weeks post-op my face looked normal (although enlarged) and 3 months post-op my face was really starting to look stunning and feminine, now at 6 months post-op I’m over the moon and have never felt more beautiful - on some days still swollen, final results can take 2 years and that only gives me more hope for the future because if I’m happy now I cannot imagine how much slimmer and lighter my results will be in the future - exciting!

Hello, I had a Barbie Line upper facial surgery and rhinoplasty revision at ID hospital, and I’m very happy with my results. My biggest insecurity was my brow bone so I had the thickest bangs to cover my eyebrows like all the time! And I didn’t like how my previous nose looked. I got my first rhinoplasty in Bangkok back in 2015, and it was nice and all... but too masculine looking. My bridge was too high and my nose sloped straight down. I wanted a pointy nose with the sloped Barbie curve.

I did ALOT of research and contacted almost every hospital/clinic in Korea for months. I originally was gonna go to 2 different hospital for each procedures... But one of my girlfriends suggested just to contact ID first to see what they say or suggested, and after getting in contact with a consultant I totally love their responses! They were very knowledgeable, kind, and I loved how fast they got back to me. In the end I decided to just go to ID and get everything done at once! My surgeries consisted of brow bone shaving, liposuction (abdomen), fat grafts, Barbie line rhinoplasty revision, and Botox. After choosing ID I started to do a bunch of research on surgeons, and finding that best ones that fits my needs. Looking at previous works, techniques, and previous patients making sure it’s the style I like and want.



Once I picked the surgeons and put the deposit down... I flew to Seoul on September 10th and had my consultation with the surgeons the 11th. I also got my surgeries that same day. Dr. Lee Kyung Min did my lipo, fat graft, and brow bone shaving (I was originally gonna do a brow lift too, and Dr. Lee Kyung Min said I didn’t need too since I already had a good shape to my eyebrows) Dr. Sohn Ho sung did my Barbie line rhinoplasty revision. After waking up from my surgeries I did not feel any pain at all! Like none... Just some discomfort and I was very very thirsty and tired! But I wasn’t allow to sleep or drink liquids for a few hours... That was torture for me! Once I was able to sleep and drink water again it was all good!



I left the next afternoon after I got all the aftercare instructions and prescriptions. I was feeling fine so I went shopping and ate around the area in Garosugil. (I was also told to do a lot of walking to help with swelling) I was very swollen day 3 and 4! My eyes barely opened... Day 7 I got my stitches taken off and met with my surgeons again, had aftercare laser deswelling and facial treatments. Again on the 14th day and all remaining stitches were removed! That same day I got my tax refund and surgery certificate thingy. I also had another consultation for a future Bambi eye surgery that I wanted to get done... But the surgeon told me my eyes are way too sunken in and deep in my orbit that doing another double eyelid revision won’t do anything to my eyes at all sadly.



Overall my experience at ID was fantastic! All the staff, consultants, translators, nurses and doctors were all very kind! Told me what I needed and didn’t need to get done... never felt like I was being sold anything! The hospital itself is super beautiful, clean, and well planned out with 16 floors. The location is great! Very convenient and close to a bunch of shopping and restaurants. I was super scared at first coming to Korea alone and getting surgery but I felt like I was in good hands, and the multiple translators did a great job explaining to my surgeons my concerns and needs. In the end I’m glad I chose ID as I love how I look now! No more bangs covering half my face and I don’t need to contour my nose anymore! I look so much younger too! I just wished my browbone shaving was much more aggressive but for safety reasons to the frontal sinus I got most of it shaven down... but unfortunately in South Korea they don’t do the fill in technique yet. When it comes to plastic surgery please do a lot of research, and make sure you take the aftercare instructions very seriously, and ask a lot of questions!

It’s been 2 months since my surgeries. I sent my friend a picture of my side profile today, and I LOVE HOW I LOOK!!! Had to compare to the pictures before my surgeries... and whoa! Loving my side profile now. My new revised nose looks so much better and way more feminine. And my browbone is barely noticeable!
