Consultation review: my most recent interaction has left me deeply disappointed

Disappointing Experience with Dr. Gabay I am writing this review to share my recent experience with Dr. Gabay and his office. As a returning client who has referred several people to him, I have always trusted his expertise and professionalism. However, my most recent interaction has left me deeply disappointed. During my pre-operative appointment in Nov 2023, I truthfully answered the forms where I indicated that I smoke 1 to 2 cigarettes a day. To my surprise, Dr. Gabay decided to cancel my surgery without even speaking to me or acknowledging my presence when he walked into his scheduler's office. This lack of personal attention and concern was unexpected and disheartening, especially considering my loyalty as a returning client. Furthermore, when I informed the office about being approved for two weeks off from my job specifically for this procedure ( without pay). they showed no empathy or willingness to accommodate my situation. It made me question whether my well-being and satisfaction were truly their priorities. I must also mention a previous experience where I had to return for a revision after a liposuction procedure and yet returned two years later for another liposuction for the same problem, despite paying what was asked of me, there was a persistent lump of fat left around my belly button on the left side that remains to this day. However, I never bad-mouthed Dr. Gabay for this; instead, I trusted his expertise and returned to him for further procedures. Now, I can't help but wonder if these recent actions and lack of concern are indicative of a focus solely on financial gain rather than patient care. As someone who has referred others to Dr. Gabay, I am disappointed and questioning the values I once believed he upheld. I hope that by sharing my experience, it will prompt Dr. Gabay and his team to reflect on their patient relationships and prioritize open communication, empathy, and personalized care. Potential clients should be aware of these aspects before making decisions about their own cosmetic procedures.
