I have a passion for helping patients look and feel their best, and this is what initially drove me to the field of Facial Plastic Surgery. I always strive to provide a comfortable and collaborative experience for every individual patient, combining personal attentive care with flawless results. My philosophy is to deliver natural and balanced results, while achieving each individual’s unique aesthetic goals. I continue to be actively involved in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery research, co-authoring several journal publications, book chapters, and am an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Outside of my academic endeavors and clinical practice, I have been involved with humanitarian work around the world, with my most recent trip to Guatemala to help children with nasal deformities associated with cleft lip and palates. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and eating good food.

A: Hello and thank you for your question. A procedure limited to just the tip of the nose could definitely address your concerns, and is probably less likely to cause breathing issues when compared to a full rhinoplasty. That being said, breathing issues after tip-plasty still can occur, so it is good to be aware of this possible risk. Rhinoplasty in general is not a skin procedure. The surgery addresses the bone and cartilage beneath the skin, and the skin simply drapes over the new framework that was created. The thickness of the skin can limit the amount of change that is able to be made.
A: Hello. I would agree with the other surgeons who have already answered your question. Rhinoplasty may be a great option to improve the appearance of your nose. I would recommend seeing a board certified surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty.
A: Hello, and thank you for the question. It appears that your profile (side view) is much improved from your second procedure. On the front view, you do still appear to have a slight curvature of your nose, however you are only 6 months out from surgery. There is undoubtedly still a significant amount of swelling remaining in your nose. As this improves, the shape of your nose may improve as well. Your surgeon may be able to recommend some conservative measures to help things along including massaging, taping at night, or steroid injections. It is important to remember that revision rhinoplasty is extremely difficult, especially after the nose has had 2 significant traumas and 1 prior surgery. It may not be possible to fully straighten your nose out. I would recommend you follow up with your surgeon for further evaluation.
A: Hello. Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, the photos that are submitted are difficult to see what you are referring to. I would recommend trying to re-take the photos in better lighting with a better camera (not the selfie camera on your phone). This may require someone to help take the photo for you. This way we can see better what you are trying to show us.
A: Hi there. Thanks for the question. I am not aware of a single procedure that will address both of your concerns. A rhinoplasty or "tip-plasty" will certainly help lift and refine your tip, and prevent it from plunging when smiling, but won't do much for dental show while smiling. Your lips appear to be much fuller now than when you were younger, so I wonder if you have had lip filler. If that is the case, then that can be a big reason for less of your teeth showing when you smile. One easy correction for this is to dissolve the lip filler. Alternatively you may be a candidate for what is called a lip lift.
