Joanne Shiffman, RN, BSN, PHN is a licensed registered nurse of 33 years with advanced training in medical aesthetics, including the use of neuromodulators and dermal fillers to artfully erase lines and enhance facial contours. She is also highly experienced in the use of non-ablative lasers and light-based therapies used in the correction of sun damaged skin and in the treatment of acne. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and is a certified Public Health Nurse. Her clinical nursing experience includes a background in oncology, emergency room, post anesthesia recovery and plastic surgery. Opening a medical skincare office with a boutique-like setting and an unhurried approach to treatments was Joanne’s vision. “Too often skin clinics become assembly lines for injectables and laser-based procedures.” Joanne is dedicated to quality skin care and outstanding results. She believes that good skincare doesn‘t have to be difficult or expensive.
Megan is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a sub-specialty in Women’s Health. After earning two bachelor’s degrees at the University of California at Santa Barbara, in Spanish and Latin American and Iberian Studies, she traveled internationally, worked as a care giver, and volunteered at Children’s Hospital in Oakland before heading to the East coast. At the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, she was a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health student and became a published clinical researcher. Her collaborative bi-lingual field research assessed and improved health literacy in patients. After three years Megan returned to California where she worked in Asthma Research, and pursued her M.S.N. While obtaining her advanced degree she simultaneously worked as an Acute Care Registered Nurse at San Francisco General Hospital. In 2006 she earned her Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of California at San Francisco.
Elaine was born and raised in San Francisco Bay Area. Elaine is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. Elaine has strong clinical experience practicing in various health care settings working with diverse patient populations. When Elaine is not at CRMA she can be found at Kaiser Permanente where she is an Oncology Nurse Practitioner. Outside of her career, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. Hiking, skiing, bicycling, swimming, and discovering new eateries are some of her favorite activities. Elaine is bilingual in Mandarin Chinese.
Sue received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of California at San Francisco in 2009. She has an extensive background in Clinical Research from Stanford School of Medicine, Sanford University and California Prostate Cancer Center.
