In late 2011 Matthew saw a need in the Middle Tennessee area for a Medical Weight Loss and Hormone Replacement Therapy Clinic with affordable pricing. In January 2012, He opened the doors to his first clinic. To date, the clinic has treated over 10,000 weight loss cases and 3,000 HRT cases with great success. The clinic’s treatment protocols were so successful that clients started asking for cosmetic services to complete their new look. In Early 2013, he added his first laser to the clinic and started offering Botox and Cosmetic Fillers. Today he has 3 independent Brands and a staff of 32 industry professionals who have successfully performed over 50,000 Laser/Aesthetic treatments and procedures. Most days you will find him inside one of the Clinics performing treatments, talking with patients, and helping staff members. He has dedicated his life and work to be a leader and innovator in Medical Aesthetics and Anti-Aging industry. He is also an advisory board member for AMSPA.
Jamie Rucks APRN FNP-C Nurse Practitioner
Jamie Rucks is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her MSN degree from Tennessee State University in 2011. Jamie decided to combine her passion for medicine and aesthetics in 2013 and began her career in Franklin, TN. She loves educating clients on healthy lifestyle changes and seeing the difference that weight loss makes on her client’s overall health. Jamie is also certified in all laser services offered at the facility and is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. Jamie is trained in Advanced Laser Aesthetic Treatments such as CO2 resurfacing, Laser Scar improvement, and J-plasma resurfacing. She is very excited to offer the FemiLift Laser procedure, which gives women an alternative to surgery. Jamie enjoys hearing the client’s enthusiasm about results, which range from control over stress incontinence to improved sexual experience. Jamie is also an advanced injector of neurotoxins, dermal fillers.
Jessica Powers Spa Manager
Jessica Powers is a laser technician that has been with the company since its start in January of 2012. Jessica loves her job and her clients. She has the privilege of performing many different laser procedures throughout her day, each one changing someone’s life in a positive way. Jessica’s favorite procedure to perform is the laser photofacial. She loves being able to rewind years of sun damage and sun spots using a combination of medical grade skincare, and a laser procedure. She enjoys watching her client’s confidence grow with each treatment they receive and seeing them fall in love with their skin again. Recently, Jessica has moved into an administration position where she is still in the day to day operations of the company. She enjoys getting to see her past clients and occasionally you will find her with a laser in her hand. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family.
Kristi Buchanan Practice Manager
Kristi began her career in the cosmetic industry over 14 years ago. After completing school at Virginia College, she worked in internal medicine as a medical assistant and found she had a desire in helping patients with their skin issues. After moving from Birmingham, Alabama to Nashville, she started working in the clinical part of dermatology and quickly moved into the cosmetic side of the business. Kristi has worked under several well-known dermatologist in the area and has also worked in many aspects of the industry such as medical assistant, receptionist, laser treatment provider, cosmetic consultant, and medical spa manager. Watching and monitoring the transformation of a client’s skin during the treatment process is one of the things she enjoys most about the cosmetic beauty industry. Kristi has a strong focus on customer service and strives to provide each client with an enjoyable and relaxing experience while making sure their skincare needs are met.
Laurie is a 1998 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her career began in a corporate healthcare setting and continued for nearly a decade before she returned to nursing school in 2010. After graduation, she worked in both long-term care facilities and a private practice dermatology clinic. She gained the majority of her skincare and aesthetic knowledge during her time as a dermatology nurse. Transitioning to Evolve Wellness & Aesthetics has been an exciting experience, as she truly enjoys building her client base and having a newfound autonomy. Her favorite procedures to date are IPL (photofacial) and Fraxel; clients see results from these treatments and it's always rewarding to see their confidence increase with a new, glowing complexion.
