Starting my adventure in Medical Aesthetics. I apologize for the lengthy Redbird. I've always been concerned about adding and I just turned the big 60. I inherited good skin from my Momma, never smoked and never was much of a sun lizard but I have been aware of the drooping jowls and neck waddle I inherited from my Grandmothers. I would spend hours in front of mirrors pulling at points on my face and neck, thinking it would just take a little tuck here. I was amazed when I learned about thread lifts. So I started my research and saving my pennies. I decided that I deserved a little vanity as I've been undergoing treatment for breast cancer and have been going around with only one breast. I'm cancer free at present but reconstruction hadn't gone smoothly. I had to postpone my appointment twice because of reconstruction and complications. I went to Eternal Beauty Medical Aesthetics, where Elizabeth Jacobsen NP performed my procedure. She was wonderful. She always answered my questions and was always caring. She was so understanding, even when I showed up for procedure the first time but was having symptoms of infection, so we postponed until after I finished my IV antibiotics and no longer had signs on infection. We discussed my concerns about the loss of fullness in my lips. She suggested sutures for my lips since I wasn't sure I was ready for lip fillers and wanted something that lasted a bit longer. During the procedure, she offered nitrous oxide since I was nervous. While the procedure itself was not completely pain free, it was tolerable.I'm posting pics from immediately before and after. A lot of the redness in my face is from too much sun at a grand- baby's baseball tournament. I'll post more after pictures after the swelling has subsided. In short, I highly recommend Elizabeth Jacobsen NP and Eternal Beauty Medical Aestetics in Texarkana, TX.
