Day 1 I was tender and by tender I mean I could not have anyone near my lower abdomen or lay on my stomach. I wore spanx from the time I left the office. I was swollen and uncomfortable but able to bear the discomfort. I was not expecting to be that swollen. Day 2 Still a bit tender but getting better and the swelling has started to go down. Day 3 bruised. So much bruising. Still not bad but I'm worried as all of the reviews have stated horrific pain around day 5. Not looking forward to that but hoping I'm one of the lucky ones. Will keep you guys posted. I have pictures of day 3 so we will start there. Updated on 13 Apr 2017: It's day 3 and the swelling has almost gone away completely. I'm still tender just like you would be when someone touches a bruise. I have been wearing spanx from the time I left the clinic. Have not worked out yet because I'm still sore. I'm a bit nervous and scared about the coming pain after reading so many awful experiences on here. Keeping my fingers crossed I'm one of the lucky ones. Updated on 14 Apr 2017: Wear your spanx or you'll be sorry. When I take them off I feel it pretty bad. Yesterday afternoon I started feeling the pins and needles. Some sharp pains throughout the day but nothing I couldn't breathe through. I can best describe the soreness now like after I had my c-section. I'm slow to get up from sitting or laying down but not crazy amounts of pain. I have had a couple of really sharp pains that have stopped me in my tracks but they don't last. That's the one thing I have to say is that the pain is intense but it only lasts a few seconds. Have not had to take any pain medicine so Yay! I have not resumed my workouts but I have been walking. Bruising had started to clear up. Updated on 15 Apr 2017: Last night was the most painful experience. I could not sleep because of the pain. I tried laying, sitting standing. Nothing helped. I put on the spanx again and that seemed to help a little but it was uncomfortable to say the least. The pain ranged from stabbing, shooting to aching to throbbing. If you would've asked me last night if it was worth it, I would've told you NOOOOOO! Today seems to start on a positive note. Still bouts of stabbing pain but it goes away. I'm going to try to keep busy so I don't dwell on the pain. Wish me luck. On the positive side, I was in so much pain yesterday I didn't feel like eating much and thaynwill help with the weight loss since I'm not exercising ;) Updated on 17 Apr 2017: Still lots of pain but mostly at night. I can't sit for very long or the pain intensifies. Trying to find relief any way I can. I called the doctor and the staff asked what kind of pain I was having. When I explained to them they told me that was normal. My first thought was "then why in the world did you not tell me about it during my consult?!!!" They told me to take some Tylenol and keep wearing the spanx and it should go away. Surprisingly, the extra strength Tylenol did seem to help. Not taking ALL the pain away but it's pain I can live with. Still did not have a full night's sleep even with the Tylenol PM. The immense pains wakes me up and I have to reposition and adjust and massage for a bit in order to go back to sleep. I just want to be my happy self again.
