Coco Ruby Plastic Surgery

Reviews helped me when choosing the right surgeon for breast implant removal on 14/04/21, and so I’d like to do the same for others. Dr Craig Rubinstein was 100% the right choice and I highly recommend having a consult with him. Super friendly Lyshai answered all my initial questions on the phone, and I met his Nurse Trish first who I loved, and who was also there from the consult through to the surgery and follow up.

Dr Craig is warm hearted, has a fun personality, and he instills confidence with his evident expertise; he managed to put me at ease from day one on surgery day. I had a consult with a surgeon elsewhere first who was great but Dr Craig and the Coco Ruby team gave me the right gut feeling when choosing them.

He also showed how honest and genuine he is, by recommending that I don’t get a lift at the same time (I was advised to elsewhere), despite this being less money for him. He wanted what’s right for me and I’m happy I took his advice and stuck with the removal only.

My body has taken getting used to since having implants for 15 years (too big for my frame from a different surgeon) but his work is excellent and my confidence has finally grown since reverting back to natural.

The whole team are incredible and the after care products and procedures have blown me away. Especially having skin needling with the beautiful Peta who is the best person to treat your skin, and I want to keep booking in with her forever!

Dr Craig Rubinstein performed my tummy tuck in Aug 2018. He is honest, professional, supportive & extremely talented. My surgery went very smoothly and I’m extremely happy with the result. Life changing!!

I always felt comfortable, even from my first appointment with Patrick Briggs. No question was a stupid question, he was always so patient.
The procedure went smoothly and the initial reaction was one of excitement. The follow up from the nurses in the days after the procedure was second to none. I felt heard and supported.
I am now 5 weeks post op and the results are even better than expected. I am so pleased!!

I am so happy I got this surgery done. I had consultations at two practices and ended up booking with Coco Ruby. The first practice felt a bit clinical - I was brought in, immediately told to strip off and get photos taken before waiting another 45minutes to talk to a Doctor. Coco Ruby was completely different - I was offered a cup of coffee, sat down with someone to talk about myself and the surgery, before getting photos taken and meeting the Doctor. It was a lovely experience and helped calm my nerves.

Throughout the whole process Dr Rubenstein and his team were wonderful. They took real care to discuss any of my concerns and guide me through the journey. Covid obviously brought a range of issues and my surgery was delayed, there was some issues with staff- but luckily we were able to get it in before Christmas. Even with all the issues, Dr Craig was really apologetic, he and the team did everything to help me before, during and after the surgery.

The actual surgery itself was better than expected. The overnight stay in hospital was definitely needed - having someone to help with icepacks and getting up to go to the bathroom was amazing.

For the journey home, I strongly recommend getting who ever is picking you up to bring a pillow to block the seatbelt from your chest. And for home - a pregnancy pillow! I slept on the couch for a few weeks and it helped keep my comfortable, propped up and stop myself from trying to sleep on my side.

Take your time with everyday things like getting up, walking and especially showering - I thought I was ready to shower and got light headed and dizzy. I took a week off work because I work a desk job that doesn't require heaving lifting, and then worked from home for another two or three weeks.

All of my follow up appointments with Craig have been really great - the nurses have been wonderful and patient. I had some stitches 'come through' which caused some little wounds and me some extreme anxiety haha But the after hours nurse was rally helpful and calmed my fears.

I'm due to start my laser treatments soon for the scaring and can't wait.

Coco Ruby is definitely up there in terms of cost, but it was worth it knowing that all my follow up appointments, scar treatment, bandages, bras, everything is covered. Some places will charge additional for all that, so it was comforting.

Do your research, consult with as many surgeons you can and go with whoever makes you feel comfortable. Getting this surgery was something I had dreamt of for so long and it was so important to me - it was worth ensuring I was comfortable the whole way through.

Breast lift in 2019 with Dr Craig Rubinstein. I had moderate to severe drooping & was very satisfied with the results of the 1st surgery.

Opted for a revision at 1/1.5 year mark without cost (complementary inc with 1st surgery) as breasts were slightly "bottom heavy" as the scar relaxed and skin stretched into its new position.

This extra skin was removed in Aug 2021 (COVID surgery timing prolonged) and the results are genuinely remarkable. Breasts are balanced and even in top and bottom.

Scar has slight bump at the outer edge which is relaxing with oil massage. I start scar redness laser treatments with the clinic today. Also free of charge.

I have lost size from D to a C, however realise now, most of this was skin. The second surgery was a harder recovery for me with the position of the horizontal scar under the breast (the first was around the nipple and vertical from nipple to base) but well worth it!!

Craig and the team have been warm and kind at every stage of this process and I cannot recommend highly enough. You can see some more of Dr Craig's actual results when you attend your first consult where he will give you an honest assessment of what you can expect to achieve for your specific breast issue. Go for your first consult and you wont regret the journey.

Dr Craig Rubinstein and his team walked me through a thorough consultation several months before my surgery (long wait times due to covid). The team was incredibly kind, thorough, and non judgemental. I felt such support and excitement to have this procedure that I'd waited so long for, and the team really shared my enthusiasm! The surgery itself was done at a private hospital that provided seamless support for my overnight stay. Now, two months post op, I've been back to see Dr Craig and the team 3 times for check ups and scar treatments. I'm hardly worried about the latter as the scar is perfectly positioned in my breast fold and is just under 3 cm long. I'm so impressed with the team, the procedure and of course the results! I am 100% satisfied with my choices and would highly recommend Dr Craig and his expert team to anyone.
As an aside, I allowed Dr Craig to film the surgery as he actively partakes in educating the current Plastics students, since he is one of the top Plastic surgeons in Australia. His leadership and involvement with their education improves my high opinion of his expertise and precision.

I'm still totally enchanted with my results from Dr Craig and his team. I had 315cc motiva implants and still love them. The surgery was flawless and recover was quick and easy. I would highly recommend this surgeon and his team! You can't find better.

I first visited Coco Ruby November 2019 on the recommendation from a girlfriend.
In the December I had a breast lift/augmentation and tummy tuck after losing 45kg.
Craig & Kimberlee made me feel at ease and the whole experience exceeded my expectations.
Today I’ve visited again to start a series of laser treatments on my surgical scares.
Hayley too was wonderful, knowledgeable and personable.
Would I recommend Coco Ruby? ABSOLUTELY!
