Dr. Roberto Garcia changed my life. I was suffering from depression due to aging poorly. A friend recommended surgery with Contoura Facial Plastic Surgery and I am tickled pink. I look so much better but... I still look like ME!
The doctor, staff, and procedure have been top notch. Very thorough in preparation and communication. Very comfortable in being able to ask questions. Attentive to all my needs. Really appreciative of the books in knowing what to expect.
A: Thank you for your question. I would highly recommend waiting until after the rhinoplasty before you have any lip injections. Rhinoplasty will alter the appearance of the lips for quite some time and can give the injector a false appearance.
A: I always believe that it is important to keep a stiff upper lip during rhinoplasty recovery. This allows that attachments to the lower septum to not be disrupted potentially leading to tip drop (ptosis).
I hope that this helps
A: Thank you for your question about alar batten grafts. Yes, they are a very useful tool in the Rhinoplasty surgeons armamentarium. These grafts are utilized for various reasons including stabilizing the lower lateral cartilages, extending the alar rim, and making concave cartilages into convex cartilages to aid in external valve collapse. Revision rhinoplasty is a very complicated procedure that should really only be done by specialists in the face and nose. Please make sure that you are seeking the advice of a double board certified Facial Plastic Surgeon. IF your surgeon does anything other than faces, they are not specialists.
A: Thanks for the question and the great photos. Hyaluronic acid fillers can nicely improve dark circles under the eyes caused by volume loss. Looking at your pictures, you may want to consider addressing cheek volume first or in addition the tear trough fillers. I recommend scheduling a consultation with an experienced injector to formulate a plan you are comfortable with.
A: I am so sorry you have not had an ideal experience with lip filler. From the pictures it seems the filler may be misplaced in the left upper lip. I usually recommend allowing 2 weeks for full healing, and then going to your injector for follow up. At that time, it may be necessary to dissolve some filler first before refilling more evenly.
