Amazing! Could not recommend Dr Nassab and the team at Wilmslow enough, they made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process even though I was extremely nervous as I had never been under anaesthetic before, but the staff were so lovely and friendly it was such a great experience. I am in love with my new boobs, thank you!

Q: Breast implant removal and lift under local or general anaesthesia - which one is safer?
Answered by Dr. NassabOctober 21, 2023

A: Thank you for the question and this is a very common concern among many patients. The risks from general anaesthetics are usually very low these days especially if you are in good health. For implant removal and an uplift we would usually recommend a general anaesthetic since this can be a long procedure. If any capsule work is required during the removal then a general anaesthetic is again preferred to reduce pain or discomfort.

Q: Facelift with sutures or with no sutures? Please help
Answered by Dr. NassabOctober 6, 2023

A: Thanks for the question and this actually a long standing debate amongst surgeons. During a facelift, surgeons will use sutures to plicate or suspend the SMAS layer. These sutures can be permanent or non-permanent. The camp of surgeons that use permanent say that these provide a longer term result with less risk of the sutures dissolving and the results fading. The camp of non-permanent sutures say that by the time they dissolve the SMAS should be fairly set in position. There may be foreign body reactions if permanent sutures are used. There is no correct answer and each surgeon will have their own preference. I would usually use a longer lasting dissolvable suture but in some cases where there is heavier face then I would consider a permanent suture.

Q: I was just wondering if it was possible to shrink down stretched ears without surgery? I'm at 26mm (Photo)
Answered by Dr. NassabOctober 6, 2023

A: Thanks for posting the photos and question. Unfortunately the earlobe has been stretched significantly and as you can see there is a lot of loose skin. There is no way of shrinking this enough to restore the shape of the earlobe. You will need to have a surgical procedure to reconstruct the earlobe as we will need to remove some of the skin as well.

Q: How much would it cost for earlobe repair surgery? (photos)
Answered by Dr. NassabOctober 6, 2023

A: The price from earlobe repair will depend on a number of factors such as amount of stretching and location of clinic. The cost should include the procedure fee and follow up. You may need to pay an initial consultation as well. We generally charge £100 consultation fee and repair prices are from £695 at the moment.

Q: Can I get an implant without a lift? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. NassabOctober 6, 2023

A: Thanks for posting this question and your photos. We always ask what your expectations are from the surgery. If you would like the breast to sit higher and nipple position higher then you will need to consider an uplift. It is unlikely you will achieve this with just a breast implant. You may wish to consider an augmentation mastopexy procedure.
