After trying several acne treatments with little to no results I decided to go with Aviclear. In the end I’m glad I but I was surprised at how painful it was. I was told it was a painless treatment and would have little to no downtime but the first treatment was extremely painful and I was told to “just deal with it” so my treatment could be finished because they have a time limit. My face was red, irritated, and swollen for the rest of the day. For my next two treatments I was offered a nitrous/oxygen mix to help with the pain. This was the only way I was able to continue with the last two treatments. Overall I’m very happy with the results and I now have very little acne that is much easier to deal with. If you are interested I would make sure to get a full consultation and understand what is involved with the treatment and what you can do to be prepared.I received compensation from Cutera in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Updated on 31 Jan 2024: It’s been about 8 months since the treatment and my daughter’s acne is worse than before starting Aviclear. The results after the completion of the three treatments was good but unfortunately did not last. Her acne returned a few months later and is worse than before. The doctor once again offered a prescription for accutane or suggested to get Aviclear treatments again. Aviclear simply isn’t an affordable option when you have to go back and do it again 8 months later. Looking for alternatives now.
