I am officially scheduled to have lipo 360, arms and thigh lipo with renuvion tightening and fat transfer to lateral (hips) with Dr Juan Quintero at CaloAesthetics on November 27th! I am a mommy of 3, and my youngest 2 were born 12 months apart (2020 and 2021.) I’m active in the gym and overall strong and in good shape. I have stubborn pockets of fat and “hip dips” that came with the weight gain/loss due to my pregnancies over the last several years. I consulted with several doctors, but I didn’t feel “it” until I met with Dr. Q. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring, and really took his time to answer my million questions. He didn’t leave me until he was sure all of my concerns were addressed. His energy and personality are very genuine. I went to an event hosted by CaloAesthetics and was able to peek into their incredible on-site OR and facility. This place is freaking amazing!! I also met the OR manager, Megan, who is so sweet and professional. She reassured me that I am in good hands! I am very excited but a little bit nervous at the same time! My pre-op is 11/21 and I will post updates as the big day approaches and throughout my recovery as well. I will be commuting from 2 hours away, so there’s some extra coordination and details to work out on my end. Dr Q provides the faja and some other supplies, but I’m sure I will have to gather some things myself. What were your must-haves for lipo / fat transfer recovery? Any advice and good vibes are welcomed <3 Updated on 28 Nov 2023: I am just over 24 hours post op. Dr Q operates on site at CaloAesthetics- and the facility is first class all around. When I arrived yesterday, I was feeling pretty nervous until my nurse (Taylor) and the anesthesiologist came in and were so comforting and reassuring. Dr Q came in for pre-op and put all my worries to rest. He has such a great aura and is so genuine. His bedside manner is superior to all doctors I’ve seen in the past. I went back into the OR and the next thing I knew, I was waking up in the recovery room. I was in quite a bit of pain and don’t remember much until I woke up from a long nap later in the day. I am taking pain medication frequently and up and down every few hours. I’m uncomfortable and sore but it’s manageable. I also have a lot of fluid leaking and bled pretty heavily through the night. I called the office twice last night and spoke with the doctor on call (Dr Pong) who assured me that it was normal and the drainage was expected. They do provide chucks but I recommend buying extra just in case. I went back in this morning for my post-op visit and to change the dressings. I forget the young lady’s name, but all of the nurses and staff are amazing. Especially Nicole, she’s the bomb! They’re so sweet, caring and professional. They treat me like I’m their only patient and are extremely attentive. Once they took my faja off, I was blown away with my results. I’m very swollen and bruised but am still soooooo happy with what I saw. The pics are pretty graphic, so view at your own risk. LOL. Dr Q came in to see me as well (even though he was in clinicals) because I had a couple questions. He’s always made himself available since my first consultation and has given me all the time and attention a girl could ask for. The experience has been great all around. I also wanted to add chin lipo and radiesse at the last minute and was accommodated… my chin looks sooooo good already and I have no pain and minimal bruising/swelling there. I am expected to be swollen for several weeks but am starting my lymphatic drainage massages tomorrow at CaloSpa before I head back home and will be seeing someone there twice a week for these massages. I also have a Colombian faja (ordered from Snatched Body) that I will switch into by the end of this week. Overall, I am ecstatic and can’t wait to see the results as my body heals. I will post another update soon with before and after body pics.
