Q
Is There Harm with Taking an Antibiotic Before Surgery?
A
Antibiotics are not harmful before surgery. However, the reason you're taking them (a sinus infection) can put you at an increased risk. I wouldn't advise someone with an active infection to undergo surgery, as it can increase the risk of infection and healing complications. I would advise rescheduling the surgery until you're in top shape for the best result.

Q
When to Stop Drinking Alcohol Prior to Surgery?
A
Great question. Every surgeon will give you a slightly different answer. I recommend stopping alcohol 5 days before surgery to decrease the risk of bleeding. Hold off for another week after surgery, or as long as you're still on narcotic pain medication.

Q
Does Sucking and Pressing the Breast Increase the Size?
A
Sucking and pressing does not increase breast size long term. You may notice a temporary increase in size from swelling, but it does not last. If you're considering breast augmentation, consult a board-certified Plastic Surgery. Your breasts can be augmented with your own fat (fat grafting), an implant, or both.

Q
Advice for Exercise After Breast Augmentation?
A
I generally recommend no exercise for 4 weeks after surgery. We recommend this for both a healing and bleeding standpoint. Exercise or anything that increases you heart rate can increase the risk of bleeding.

Facelift
Q
One side of my face is clearly larger than the other. How can I make my face more symmetrical? (photos)
A
Great question. Facial asymmetry is normal. However, if it's bothersome to you, I would recommend being evaluated by an OMFS (oral maxillofacial surgeon). The symptoms of jaw clinking and over/underbite is best evaluated by a surgeon who specializes in the jaw. If it's just a matter of cosmetics, than filler can give you a more balanced look.
