Good Day. Thank you for your question.
Simple answer: no need for an injection.
The goal would be to avoid needle injections. The transcutaneous absorption of the Botox/Dysport is the main concern for obtaining consistency.
The future is closer than you think.
Good Day. Thank you for your question and concerns.
The risk of neurmodulators (Botox/Dysport) injected into facial muscles is extremely safe. The vast majority of the medication states in the facial muscle with a minuscule amount entering the blood stream. The risk to a fetus is negligible.
Due to liability concerns, researchers including manufacturers do not perform clinical studies in pregnant and lactating women. The amount of data is low. However, Botox/Dysport is the most common cosmetic procedures performed in the United States, if their was even a remote association, it seems someone would have found that out by now.
I think you can relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Bringing a new life in the world is perhaps our most important of life endeavors.
