Hi! I just had coolsculpting done on my inner thighs yesterday and want to share my experience and journey. First, a little about me. I'm 34, and have a 8 year old. I lead a active lifestyle and eat well for the most part (sweets are my weakness!). I'm 5'2 and weigh 108lbs. I study martial arts and train about 4 hours a week. I carry most of my excess weight in my inner thighs. In order to get them the way I would like I would have to drop down to 100 lbs and I don't want to do that because I'm happy with my weight. So I made a appointment for a coolsculpting consultation and was told I'm an ideal candidate. One week later I was getting the treatment done! Now, on to my coolsculpting experience. They used the cool advantage device so my treatment time on each thigh was 35 minutes. The technician put a cool gel pad on my thigh and turned on the device. It started to suck the fat into the machine and then she helped me get comfortable in the chair. She gave me some snacks, water, and a call button before leaving the room. (She had not turned the cooling part on yet because a nurse was going to come do that). I started to have a anxiety about the treatment from the intense suctioning and decided I had made a terrible choice and wanted to leave. I panicked and pressed the call button several times. It took her several minutes to arrive and by then I was already calming down and she reassured me that my feelings were normal and to eat some more of the granola bar and she went to get me juice. She turned on the cooling and I had another smaller panick attack but it passed quickly and I was okay for the duration of the service. She gave me a iPad and I relaxed and watched a movie. At this point I was really glad that I had decided to continue with the treatment. Once the 35 mins were up she removed the device and used the ZWave Pro to massage out my fat. This didn't hurt at all because I was still numb from the treatment. It was very loud though. After the 'massage' she started the treatment on my other thigh. This time I did not panic. I think because I already knew what to expect. As my second leg was cooling my first was defrosting. This was pretty uncomfortable but not unbearable. I think the 10 minutes after the massage is actually the worst part. After the 35 minutes she ZWaved my second thigh and I was good to go. I was a little numb and sore the rest of the day, but was still able to go to my class and workout like normal. Today I feel bruised but the numbness has lessened a little. I don't have any visible bruising, just a little swelling. So far I would do it all over again if I get the results I'm hoping for. Here are a couple pictures from last night (same day as treatment). They are slightly swollen but not much. I'll update with more photos as time goes on. Updated on 21 Jan 2017: Just a quick update. My thighs are slowly regaining feeling. It has not been painful at all. Just odd to the touch. No results yet as I'm only 1 week out. I'd say I have about 50% of the feeling back. Updated on 29 Jan 2017: Almost all of the feeling is back. Im only slightly numb. The 'recovery' has been much better than I expected. I was so worried after reading some of the reviews here, but in my experience it's been barely noticeable. Still no change as I'm only 2 weeks out. I'll update with pictures once I start seeing a change. Updated on 4 Feb 2017: Feeling is almost back to normal. I still feel slightly tender if I push on the area but overall I'd say I'm 90% back to normal. I had the back of my thighs treated with Exilis, Body FX and ZWave yesterday (for cellulite). I'll post that review separately. Updated on 15 Mar 2017: It's been 8.5 weeks since I had cool sculpting done on my inner thighs. I started to notice the results around the 6.5/7 week mark. What I noticed was that my thighs were not rubbing together like they normally do. It was a pretty strange (in a good way) feeling since my weight had not changed. Visually I see a little difference but not a lot. I think most of the fat reduction is on the back side of my inner thighs. I'm told I will continue to see more reduction over the next month or so. I'll update again then. Updated on 11 Jun 2020: I did not go back for another treatment. I may have seen more results but I just didn’t feel like the small change was worth the cost. After I did the procedure when I would fluctuate a few pounds (like 5) with weight it started happening in my stomach. This was the first time in my life that it happened here. Of course it could have also been age, etc. but I honestly think, because of the timing, that when those few fat cells in my inner thighs were killed the extra fat went to my stomach. Based on this alone I personally don’t recommend the procedure. On the brighter side, it’s not ALL going to my inner thighs so I guess it’s personal preference.
