However, if the IPL is not done correctly, it can cause damage to melanocytes and the brightening may become permanent. Make sure that the person performing the treatment is properly trained.

For example Dysport on the forehead and Botox in between the eyebrows.

Even at a medium depth peel, it should not penetrate deep enough to reach the subcutaneous of fatty tissue layer or effect it. Likely, the facial fat loss was caused by another reason such as high metabolic rate from training for the marathon. To address facial volume loss, injectables such as HA fillers or a biostimulator can be recommended. When you meet with an injector for consultation, they can help guide you on which option would be best based on your concerns, age etc.

Asymmetry is a very common on the face, including the lips with natural anatomy.

To address this you can try two different methods or both in combination- a "lip flip" and lip filler.

Lip flips use a neuromodulator like botox into the the muscle that makes your lips pucker. This allows more "pink" of your lip to flip up and show. More may be injected into the side that appears lower.

Filler can be injected into the side of the lip that appears smaller to add volume to even them out. Or even to add overall volume to your lip and more would be needed on the smaller side.

There are multiple brands of neuromodulators such as Botox that can be used.

Currently there are name brand Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, Jeuveau and Daxxify.

Some injectors may have preferences of products that they use in certain areas and some patients also have preferences of product. I would find an injector to have an initial consultation with.

In your consultation with your injector you can tell them your preference, if you have one from previous injections, etc. You can also ask them about which products they prefer, or what they believe may work best based upon the area and look you are desiring.
