Cataract surgery, whether your vision is corrected only for distance, or whether you have premium lenses implanted - or if in your case your vision is corrected for what we call "monovision," your eyes should not become asymmetrical. Does it appear that one eye is protruding more than the other, or could you have one eyelid that is drooping and making the eye appear smaller? I encourage you to contact your provider right away and get things checked out. Your vision is precious, and you deserve the proper care!

Together, you can develop a plan of action to ensure you get the results you seek, and maintain your skin. While you can repeat CO2 laser skin resurfacing,  another option could be maintaining the improvement you achieved by going on a medical grade skin care treatment plan. My patients typically use Obagi products before and after their procedure, and they enjoy the benefits.

I completely understand the importance of your exercise routine, but your main goal during your healing will be to protect your skin. The CO2 laser will encourage growth of a newer, healthier layer of skin. There are other options as well. At my practice we use medical grade Obagi skin care that can also treat discoloration and give improve the appearance of your skin. I would highly recommend seeking out a practice with multiple options so that you can review what works best for you, and maybe even combine treatment for longer lasting results.
