A Really Enlightening & Enjoyable Experience

Fabulous! Dr Tarbet was very thorough & detailed in answering all my questions & concerns. She explained options to me; and several times gently explained why something wouldn't work or wasn't a good idea. My whole experience with her and her staff was really enjoyable & stress free. She really cares about the results & my after-care was excellent! At 72 I wanted to look...

Really happy with my experience - eyelids are even & natural looking

I had both my eyelids lifted 6 months ago as their drooping was impacting my vision. Dr. Tarbett did an amazing job on the surgery. I had no complications and my scars healed easily. The eyelids are even and natural looking - no one can even tell I had it done unless I tell them. Dr. Tarbett has some great suggestions for improving your chances of healing. Follow them! My recovery was so...

Terrific Staff. Very Confident in This Team

I came to Dr. Tarbell for a blepholoplasty surgery consult. I am 69 years old and I have needed a ptosis on my left eyelid fixed now since 2015. After we did the initial exam and measurements, it is clear why my vision is degrading, because the right guy drooping has caught up with the left eye now due to age. I know I will be having this surgery next year in the summertime. Dr. Tarbell and I...

Thread Lift Afterthoughts

Dr. Tarbet is a wonderful woman. Her energy fills up a room with her positive demeanor and her smile. She is extremely thorough and really knows what you need to do to look your best. I went there for a consultation and decided on the threads and fillers. My experience was that the threads are not for the faint of heart. You need to be okay with pain and being uncomfortable for a month or two....

Q: What type of chemical peel could be helpful? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. TarbetApril 18, 2024

A: Hi there, So sorry to hear about your struggle with the dark spots above your lips. The products you've used so far are good to use as preventative measures but the pigment may be pretty deep in that area. First thing, I would recommend is seeing an experienced Master Aesthetician with knowledge in treating darker Fitzpatricks (darker skins). Your skin looks to be a Fitzpatrick V, and there are specific treatments such as chemical peels and lasers that are more successful for your Fitzpatrick with less side effects/risks of post hyperpigmentation. However, it is more limited what you can do to your skin. I would recommend pre-treating with a 4-6% Hydroquinone 14 days prior to any treatment you may have to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation. This will inhibit the activation of your melanocytes (skin cells that create pigmentation). Always, always wear sunblock to prevent further pigmentation issues from the sun alone. Best!

Q: Best way to help my sad acne scars? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. TarbetMarch 29, 2024

A: There are FDA approved treatments that target acne scarring including derma fillers, such as Bellafill and microneedling with the Skin Pen. Ask your provider if you are a good candidate.

Q: Can Minoxidil absorption be negatively affected by wearing a hat?
Answered by Dr. TarbetMarch 29, 2024

A: Minoxidil is absorbed into the scalp within a few hours of application. As long as you're waiting that time period of 3 or more hours, wearing a hat afterwards does not interfere with this process.

Q: Can microneedling work on indented forehead scar that was caused by a fall? (photo)
Answered by Dr. TarbetSeptember 27, 2023

A: Hi there, microneedling is a great option and less invasive than the CO2 laser. Microneedling is great for scar revision. In fact, the microneedling device we use, the SkinPen, was first FDA cleared specifically for acne scarring/scars. Multiple treatments are recommended (3 treatments- one month apart to start), depending on the severity of the scar. Remember, it's a process that takes time to rebuild more collagen and elastin (an average of 4-6 months) to start seeing the results.
