Decided on an overall better shape.. implant exchange, mini lift, lipo, and Galaflex

I have had issues with one breast for 3ish years. Went in and it appeared i had made a double capsule and developed mastitis.. I thought it was a radio tire at the time. Fast forward to about a month ago when I went to make sure we were on the same page with what was discussed 3 years ago. I have a possible rupture. Which, is what I'm hoping for because then some of my money will come back to...

So Glad I Made This Decision.

I couldn’t be happier with the results. For 20 years I was embarrassed about the size difference and after kids the sagging. Now I’m actually happy with my body. The surgery and recovery afterwards were so much easier than I expected. The scarring isn’t that even that bad three months out. So glad I made the choice and worth every penny!!!!

From 30 A to 30DD

I've known for a long time I wanted this procedure. I've personally known others who have gone through with it. I decided at my consultation the Dr knew best. Compared to other local surgeons I believed his to be the best work. I ended up with 300cc and feel like they fit my body well. I will upload photos at a later time

Perfect Consult

Setting up an appt was easy and took no time. They emailed me my paperwork to fill out before the day of my appt. That made check in/wait time in waiting area minimal. The staff treated me at check in was very friendly. Once I was called back each staff member I met was smiling and friendly. I answered a few more health questions, they took my measurements and noted a few things. Dr. Sloan...

C-Section Scar Revision; 5'4" 120-125lbs, 38 Years Old, Mom of 4

I have reached my goal weight and have held that weight for a few months now. I have a breast augmentation scheduled, and I decided to consult the plastic surgeon that I had chose to do my breast aug. I wanted to see what I could do to get rid of my c-section shelf as well. I have always hated my scar...my incision had gotten infected a few days after my firstborn was delivered via emergency...

Q: Can I expect a flat abdomen after a tummy tuck? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. SloanJune 16, 2022

A: Of course you would need an in person exam to tell for sure, but based on your photos I think you are a good candidate for abdominoplasty. May not get as flat as you want, but should be able to get you 90% of the way there. You certainly have plenty of skin to qualify. Another test is to pinch the skin at the level of the umbilicus. If you can barely pinch up any fat then it is mostly visceral and unable to be removed, but can still remove excess skin. If the pinch thickness is 2" or so, then you should get an excellent result from abdominoplasty as most of that fat can be removed. I suspect your PS would find a thick enough layer of subcutaneous fat and significant muscle laxity that would need repair. All in all I think you are a good candidate. Good luck to you.

Q: What is the difference between the Inspira, high profile and the soft touch?
Answered by Dr. SloanJanuary 4, 2020

A: Allergan is the parent company that owns brands such as Natrelle breast implants, Botox, Coolsculpting, etc.  Inspira is the current product line of Natrelle silicone gel breast implants.  Within this product line are 5 different profiles termed low, low plus, moderate, full, extra full.  Allergan does not offer an implant that goes by the name “high profile” so it would be important to determine whether someone using the term “Inspira high profile” means full or extra full profile.

They also offer 3 different thicknesses of gel, all of which are significantly thicker, or more cohesive, than what was used 15 years ago.  Allergan considers all of their currently available gel implants as ”gummy”.  The least cohesive gel is termed “responsive”, the next is “soft touch”, and the most cohesive or thickest gel is termed “cohesive”.

A commonly used implant in my practice is catalog number SSF-345 which means smooth surface, soft touch gel thickness, full profile, 345 cc.

I hope this is helpful.

Q: I'm looking for information on BreastTite. Anyone perform this procedure? Who is a good candidate?
Answered by Dr. SloanNovember 16, 2019

A: I have this technology and have tried 5 or 6 of these for fairly minimal sagging.  In about half of them I ended up doing a standard mastopexy a year later.

Q: Morphs versus reality, how close is a doctor able to get to the morphs?
Answered by Dr. SloanNovember 16, 2019

A: Typically when we morph nose images for patients, we tend to underdo it so as not to give false promises.  Anyone can make your nose perfectly straight on front view with morphing or Photoshop software.  However the real question is whether that can be achieved surgically.

I believe you would be better served by viewing before and after photos of crooked noses on the surgeon's website and choose accordingly.

Q: How long after a tummy tuck should I wait to have a colonoscopy?
Answered by Dr. SloanNovember 16, 2019

A: This is something that would need to be decided between your gastroenterologist and plastic surgeon.  Interestingly, I recently performed abdominoplasty on the wife of a gastroenterologist and he told me that sometimes very early after a tummy tuck the colonoscopy is slightly more difficult from a technical standpoint as it is more difficult to distend the colon during the exam.
