Super excited to get my 2nd BA August 14th! 1st BA - 18 years old. 5'8. 115#. 32AA - 32C with 300cc saline implants. Surgeon was Dr. Gary Hall at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery. He has recently retired so I will be using the Surgeon who took over his practice, Dr. Levi Young. Since then I had a 3 year old kid who was breastfed for 18 months (no issues). I have gained approx 20# of muscle since her delivery so I have outgrown my implants and want to go much bigger. I currently weight 140#. Consultation went great. I told Dr. Young I want to be a BIG D. We decided on implants anywhere from 450-500. However, after looking through numerous photos on here. I'm leaning more toward 500-550 to make me a DD. I will continue to update as my journey continues! Updated on 30 Jul 2015: Surgery is 2 weeks from tomorrow! Here are some wish pics! Updated on 30 Jul 2015: Updated on 1 Aug 2015: Updated on 14 Aug 2015: Made to the Surgery Center at 0730. All the staff was super nice and made me feel comfortable. We ended up going with 550cc Silicone. Not have much pain, just discomfort. Both PS and Anesthesiologist told me that since my saline implants were under the muscle my recovery wouldn't be bad! Super happy with the results this far! Updated on 17 Aug 2015: I am surprised at how painless/easy recovery has been! I took pain meds q6-8 hrs and slept most of surgery day. Post op Day 1 I went to lunch with the hubby and spent some time with the family. I took one pain pill Saturday. Since then I have only taken my antibiotics, celebrex and colace...only having pain in the mornings when I first get up. Ready to hit the gym but I know I'll have to wait several more weeks... Updated on 25 Aug 2015: I had my first follow up appointment last Wednesday. Dr said everything looked great. Instructed me to massage twice daily. Pretty much pain free at this point. The only area that is still sore is right around my ribs under the incision site. Today I removed the steri-strips. So far the scars look great. I only feel a few bumps along the incision line...which will hopefully resolve with time. The RN in the office told me about the benefits of using silicone band aids to help minimize the scar over time. I was able to fine some at Target for $18. I also went bra shopping today! VS measured me at a 32DD :):) I purchased several unpadded, wire free bras for the time being but also got a few push up bras bc I LOVED the look. Ha I'm thrilled with my results so far! Updated on 17 Dec 2016: I have attached my final revision results. This photo was taken tonight. Updated on 17 Dec 2016: This photo is a before/after shot of my first BA done by Dr Hall that Dr Young has posted and is taking credit for on his RealSelf profile.
I was a full D cup pre pregnancy and gained 45 lbs with my pregnancy bringing me to 160lbs. My breasts were gigantic! I breastfed for 6 months. Upon stopping nursing my son, my breasts deflated to a B cup. I've had 3 consultations and received 3 totally different opinions! I quickly decided to use Doctor Levi Young at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery in Overland Park, Kansas. He was so personable and made me feel the most comfortable out of all 3 doctors I visited. His nurse Kim is also fantastic! His office staff is great too! Everyone involved has made this experience top notch thus far! Anyway I've got a lot of loose skin from deflation. So Dr. Young suggested 520cc Silicone under the muscle with dual plane placement. We will be doing the incisions in the fold of my breasts. The dual plane will help lift my nipples as I am borderline needing a lift. Updated on 27 Feb 2016: March 4th is my surgery date! Updated on 5 Mar 2016: We decided on 560cc dual plane placement under the muscle! Updated on 7 Mar 2016: Anyone have any ideas on regaining energy and desire to stay awake? All I want to do is sleep :(
I have always had smaller breasts which I was okay with as they were shaped nicely and perky before I had children. After my second child who was breastfed my breasts have become smaller than before and lost any perkiness. I have several people in my life who have undergone a breast augmentation and gained some knowledge and recommendations from them but I would say most helpful has been this real self website and felt as though what a blessing I have found it to have been for me that if I can help just one person in return with their choices than I should post my journey. I had set up 3 consultations with doctors around the Kansas City area. 1st was with Dr. Levi Young From Advanced Cosmetic Surgery - my experience during the entire orientation process was easy and comfortable. He answered all my questions without rushing, he had an actual RN with him who assisted which I liked and all office staff was pleasant. 2nd consultation was with Dr. Quinn of Quinn plastic surgery. His office was very full which I took to be good any many people liked him , what I did notice was I was the youngest in the waiting room. We waiting past our time to be see so when they brought us back they started the process which on one hand since they were running behind I appreciated but on the other I ended up seeing 3 different people so I felt like just another number in a way. He did an exam just as dr. Levi young did and there recommendations were very close to the same which made me feel good that they were both on the same page size wise for what my body needed to fix what I wanted. They were both the same price 6,000 They both agreed on roughly the same size implant The differences They used different implants Dr Levi young- natrella Dr Quinn - mentor They did different incursion sites Dr Levi young - under the breast fold Dr Quinn - in the crease of the arm pit Dr Levi young requires you to wear post surgical supportive bra for recovering Dr Quinn does a no bra policy I liked both doctors and think both would have done good jobs. I sat on it for a while to decide which dr. was the best for me and I feel very confident in my decision with Dr. Levi young Why I chose him- overall his before and after pics looked better . He gave me more of his undivided attention The type of implant (brand) I felt was more appropriate for what I needed/wanted. I never went to see the 3rd dr because it was over a month wait just for a consult and I liked both drs I had met with prior so I didn't see the point. My surgery is scheduled for December 15th My preop appt is scheduled for December 7th. I ordered some post op surgical bras from brilliant contours and very excited to get those in as they will later double as a sports bra . All reviews I read were great for those so I have high hopes . I'll be posting pictures and keeping my journey going through the rest of the process! Updated on 4 Dec 2017: Updated on 4 Dec 2017: Updated on 6 Dec 2017: Got my post surgical bras in they are so great love them already!! ???? Updated on 7 Dec 2017: So I had my pre op appt today. Tried in sizes again which the recommendation for me to get to d or dd is 550 or 605 cc They had the 550 in to try but no 605 So I tried on the 550 and 650 just for the sake of trying on . & still not really sure which one is the right choice as in all honesty the 55cc difference may not be that significant so they are going to order both for me and he will try sizers in me during the procedure and I will let him make the final call on the size at that time. I took pics of me testing implants but I'm only going to post one because in the pics you can't tell a difference as to then sizes "in person you could" I can't even honestly tell you witch in which in the pictures anyhow . I got all my scripts taken to the pharmacy which there's like 4 or 5 scripts which I didn't exactly anticipate there being that many but glad I'm on my way to being prepared . Now just waiting on a call from the surgery center to finish up information with them! Updated on 15 Dec 2017: Alright everyone today was the day and it has gone so well, dr was on time I didn't have long to wait for anything he was very down to earth comforting and very informative. We were on the same page as the look I wanted and he brought in both 550cc and 609cc and I told him to pick in surgery whichever was best fro my body has he would get to try on sizers during the procedure . He ended up giving the 609cc and so far I'm lad e did as I had reservations hey would be too big by my mom and husband both say they look great so far . I will post some pics and give a little more detail on my day tomorrow , you can see in the post op pics I am very bloated after surgery. Hope the other gals having surgery today that all went well. Thinking of you! Updated on 16 Dec 2017: So I did well sleeping but was a lot with alarms to make sure I took my meds.. unfortunately I found out I'm severally allergic to levaquin my entire face swelled up and had to go to ER for Benadryl through iv still swollen in the face but getting better, my Brest and he pin however is doing so good I lowered my pain meds which I'm so happy about. Can't take bra off until tomorrow so here is today's pics . Updated on 17 Dec 2017: Things are going well easier than anticipated so far so I hope that continues. I got to shower today and am now wearing the new surgical bras I'll post pics of me in those later today. Pics I post now are prior to shower. Still having a lot of bloating and swelling in my body .l, thinking it's normal ivread a lot of girls have a lot of bloating . Updated on 23 Dec 2017: So I'm a dative 1 week post op and am only feeling soreness and tightness no real significant pain anymore just doing Tylenol when needed started massages as directed at my post op apt on Wednesday . Feeling good for the most part limited mobility in ow far I can turn or reach . Got the okay to sleep on my back not upright anymore. Husband says he can already see the changes happening . Still very happy I did this for myself . A lot less bloating now but still some remaining . Updated on 30 Dec 2017: Things are going good, seem to be healing pretty normal, one side is a little less tight than the other which I expected . Still high and tight but everyday I can see progress. This bra is one of the ones I bought from brilliant contours . I ?? them ! I will say this one as you can see shows the nips which my quilted ones hide them . Never had any trouble with them showing through a shirt though. Seems like I'm on the hyper sensitive side when it comes to healing and my nipples . Certain movements also give me a deep pain/pressure in my sternum. This cold weather is not nice to the healing process I can say that! Updated on 5 Jan 2018: Three week out still so happy that I did this for myself and with the surgeon that I chose. I feel like things are healing normal and the dropping and fluffing is happening just slowing which is exactly what I expected but I can see difference already! . Things are still clearly high tight and tender "still very sensitive" which is thankful for rather than loss of sensitivity. Posting pics of scars this time as well they seem to be doing well also no complaints , my dr won't start scare treatment until 6 weeks post op but I have been using just a&d ointment and then Mederma to help others stretch marks which my body just gets them terrible anyways the ones I have honestly were from my pregnancies . One side is starting to drop "quicker" than the other but I'm not concerned . All normal things specially when iv BF in the pst and dominant have carried my 1 yr old on one side most of the time . I know things will eventually even out at the end of the healing process. Keep doing my massages everyday ???? Updated on 21 Jan 2018: Updated on 21 Jan 2018: Feelings of hypersensitive pretty much gone still a little numb on the tissue under the nipple. Every once in a while when I lift my arms up or do train movements I can till hear the air pockets disbursing . Still feel like I'm healing on track, one side is progressing slightly faster than the other but I'm not concerned . Breasts and now sting to become more squishy rather than hard. Updated on 25 Feb 2018: Hey y'all sorry I haven't posted in a bit life's been busy, anyways 10 + weeks going good Sensations back to normal other than little numb under side where they did all the work but that is coming back as well. Defiantly seeing progress still have more to go but glad I'm progressing at the rate I am. I have one side the is healing a little faster which I completely expected since I have a small child and life and hold her a lot with one side being more dominate. But you really don't notice it unless your looking for it which I know will even itself out so I'm not worried at all. Getting more fullness in the sides and starting to drop more and nipples lifting and scare lifting. Hope everyone is well! Updated on 23 Mar 2018: Haven't updated in a bit thought I'd share some more progression photos. Getting better everyday . So happy I made the decision to do this.
