Hey everyone! I've been lurking on here for quite sometime and my procedure was today. I had upper abs, lower abs, and flanks done. I'll post before and after pics tomorrow after I stop leaking so much. But I thought I'd share what the day was like. Loved my doctor and nurse! They were thorough and personable. The hardest part was the injection of the fluid. It felt equivalent to getting a tattoo so it wasn't bad at first. But when he started pumping fluid closer to my ribs it was pretty bad! I had to squeeze a stress ball that the nurse graciously gave me. After that the auctioning part felt fine. He removed about 4 pounds of fat. But man o man I am leaking like crazy. Like all down my legs! It looks like a scene from a horror movie lol. But anyways if I stop leaking tomorrow I'll post pics and document my journey! Updated on 27 Mar 2018: Felt fine day of the surgery! Not really sore or anything. Took one pain killer before bed and woke up fine. As the day progressed and I walked around the mall I began to get really sore. Like doing a million crunches and back workouts sore. Honestly, it's not a crippling kind of pain like some say. I am definitely feeling swollen though. I could easily go back to work tomorrow 2 days post op but I'll probably go back on Thursday. Here's a before of me and 1 day post op today morning.
I have wanted to get liposuction for about 5 years now. Just turned 30 so guess this is a happy birthday to myself. I have read many reviews. I read reviews about Dr. Bullis and seen some of his work from people who have posted on realself. I decided to go in and meet with him to see. The night I went all the staff were helpful and Dr. Bullis was amazing. I went in for my pre-op on Tuesday the 21st. They took before pictures answered my questions and again I met with Dr bullis. He is very personable and the staff make you feel welcome and confident. He is very honest with his opinion and makes sure that you understand any possible outcome. I will be having liposuction of the upper and lower abs, waist, upper back / bra roll and the pubic mons. Considering adding in the inner thighs I will call tomorrow to discuss this further. With having two kids I have stretch marks on my lower abdominal area so they is some concern for how well my skin will retract back. He wanted to make sure I understood this which I do and am okay with at this time. I think that it will be fine and that my expectations will be met. My procedure is scheduled for Saturday the 3rd. I am anxious for the date for so many reasons. I truly feel that I am in good hands with Dr bullis. This procedure will be completed under local anastect and some pain medication while I am awake. This does not bother me I am actually very excited to be ableaving to see and be awake during this process. I plan to post pre-op photos in a couple of days and will provide updates and progress photos along my journey. Updated on 2 Dec 2016: I cam say that I am excited and nervous. This has been something that I have wanted for some time. An even knowing I am in good hands it is hard for me to let go and trust someone, especially when it comes to my body. I am adding in some pre open photos. Updated on 4 Dec 2016: 1 day post op. I am very sore but it is manageable. Haven't taken any pain meds today but still very sore. I am please with what I see so far and am positive that it will only continue to get better. My procedure went well. The nurse was very helpful and made me feel comfortable. The dr was great the whole time. I did fall asleep a couple of times as the medicine really kicked my butt. Lol but all an all it wasn't a bad experience. I liked that I did it so early in the morning and on the weekend. Not many people there felt very personal I liked that a lot. Dr. Bullis at this point I can not say enough good thing about. Updated on 18 Dec 2016: Still sore and tender. Some days are better than others with swelling. Had my post op appointment this past Tuesday. Went well they said that I am very swollen. One of my sides is smaller than the other they said if it's still this way after swelling they can fix it. Over all I wouldnt change a thing. My results are coming along well. My procedure was Saturday morning and I was back to work Monday. (I was very sore but lived) I'm posting some update photos. Please let me know of you have any question. Updated on 20 Dec 2016: Feel lumpy on my left side like there are indentations. So my left side seems to have had more fat removed than my right. The nurse agreed on my 1 week post op appointment and said that it can be corrected. Though I notice my right side is less tender and feels smother to the touch. I know I am not even 3 weeks out so I am still just wait in to see where I will be in a few months. I can say I am anxious for the 3 month mark. I think more of my final results will be visible then and I will be going to Vegas for the first time. (Hoping I can show a little more skin than I would normally by the pool) still loving my new and slowly improving body each day and wouldn't change having this procedure done I would do it again. I will keep everyone posted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Updated on 20 Dec 2016: Updated on 31 Mar 2017: It has been a little while since my last update. So I do want to say I am happy but there are some areas that I think more could have been done. I went in for my 3 month post op appointment and they said at 6 months I can discuss this with the Dr as things are still healing ave three is still some swelling. They guarantee their work and you being happy so we will see. After the procedure my sides by my hips were the most sensitive just to touch the sensation was painful for about the first 2.5 months it has since stopped and not been an issue. Please let me know if you have questions. I know that this update is brief... and I am sorry for that. I am in the middle of unpacking.
