I had 5 sessions of Picosure laser and have been seeing my Melasma getting worse. Not only it becomes darker, I started getting more patches of it. The treatments were spaced four weeks apart. I asked my doctor if the setting was wrong but he told me there is only one setting for the machine. I am devastated. I paid a package price and have another 9 sessions. What should I do?
I had PicoSure done underneath my eyes for the treatment of fine lines and crepiness two days ago and now the texture of my skin looks 10x worse! Help! Will it get better? Underneath my eyes did get puffy after treatment and I can tell there is still very minor swelling two days later. Crepiness is most obvious when I squint.
I recently had the picosure focus done to address my hyperpigmentation on my upper lip. I had it done by an RN at a reputable med-spa because my dermatologist doesn't offer that laser yet and it was such a better deal than at the Beverly Hills doctors offices I called. I had high hopes for this laser but unfortunately my hyper pigmentation has gotten worse after the picosure. Do you think it's becuz I may not have gone to the most skilled practitioner? Should I try it again with a dermatologist?
I am a type 4 on the Fitzpatrick scale & developed cloasma when pregnant 12 years ago which has worsened over the years due to moving to a hot climate & although I wear sunscreen daily, my condition has got worse - I have dark patches on my cheeks & forehead...I have been for a consultation & the doctor recommends the Clear & Brilliant Laser... However, another clinic has recommended the Picosure... Will this be safe to use on my skin?? Many thanks.
I had PicoSure done on my melasma underneath my eyes and it was awesome. Fast forward a month and a half, I did a second treatment of it. It left my skin darker, redder, and worse. FYI the same person did it both times. I visited another doctor to treat this, and Im about a week into a treatment of hydroquoine 8%. The PIH is still there, just slightly better. - Can any laser help my PIH/melasma now? Will my PIH ever fade? - Would you ask for your money back from the doctor who gave me PIH?
