A mature lady attended with a front tooth crown that was failing. It was originally a natural tooth that was sticking out 35 years ago. The patient’s brother-in law crowned the tooth to get it in line. The result was satisfactory 35 years ago, but looked odd at the present time. It had a very high gum line as the tooth was very crowded originally. The crown and root underneath were failing. The tooth and crown were removed and then we used Invisalign to move the canine forwards to close the space. As the canine moved forward the adjacent bone followed with it and eventually the space was closed. The great thing about the canine movement with Invisalign was that the gum tissue grew downwards as the bone filled in the extraction space.
