29 year old mother of two had abdominal surgery as child which left deep vertical lower abdominal scar. Post-pregnancy, the abdominal scar became deeper, and more visible to her. For removal of her scar and surrounding skin, a tummy tuck was used to revise and reposition the scar across her lower abdomen, in an area where the scar would be hidden behind normal swimwear and feminine intimate wear. She was pleased with her result. The procedure was a fitness abdominoplasty by Dr. Steve Laverson, MD, Tummy tuck plastic surgeon in San Diego, CA. This includes tightening her relaxed post-pregnancy abdominal wall surgically to flatten the abdominal bulge seen in side view. Her scar and loose abdominal skin is removed for a more flat, tightened contour with a more youthful, fit appearing abdomen. The procedure is accomplished under general anesthesia and lasts about three to four hours.
