Patient is a 57-year-old female who underwent a previous facelift with subsequent obvious scarring and distortion. Due to her ethnicity, she has been hesitant to address these issues regardless of the dissatisfaction with the changes she sees from facial aging. Specifically, she feels that her face has become very thick appearing, with loss of the beautiful jawline and neck she had in her youth, and lack of definition of her cheekbones which have always been her trademark.

Procedure: High SMAS Facelift, bilateral buccal fat pad removal, partial removal of the superficial submandibular gland, and autogenous fat transfer to the face for a total of 17cc including the lower eyes, cheekbones, jawline, and chin. Her post operative scars were imperceptible due to the fact that the High SMAS facelift elevates tissues to a more youthful position, independent of the skin, which allows tension-free incision closure.
