This young woman came into the office with a very large keloid that had formed on the back of her left ear from a piercing years ago. It had been present for two years and was significantly impacting her sleep because of tenderness on that side, as well as a negative cosmetic appearance. She underwent a wide local excision with adjacent tissue transfer in the office, and required one post-operative injection of steroid to the site. We also did a pressure earring for a few months postop. She has had complete resolution of this keloid.
