This is a 46 year old woman who had breast cancer. After successful treatment and breast reconstruction, she wanted an entirely fresh start with facial rejuvenation. She felt that her eyes appeared tired and her neck was full and had a saggy appearance. The tired appearance of her eyes is due to two things: excess tissue in the upper eyelid region (seen as subtle folds of skin hanging down over the eyelid), and low eyebrow position. I did an endoscopic browlift to lift the eyebrows to the right position and I removed excess skin from the upper lids. For the face, I used a SMAS flap which is a highly advanced facelift technique that allows restoration of the “oval” shaped face – the quintessential characteristic of a young beautiful face. Look at Madonna’s face for the perfect oval shape. Then, I performed liposuction of the neck and neck lift. The combination of all these small but significant changes gives the big improvement.
