    Some people chose a sort of abbreviated facelift procedure.  Some call it a mini lift, lunchtime lift, lifestyle lift and other names.  Some surgeons will just tighten the skin a bit and eschew the deep muscle foundation, which puts too much tension on the skin closure.  Then the scar can drift to a conspicuous location, well in front of the ear.  Some people also get some hypo pigmentation or some hyper pigmentation.  It is important to address the muscle beneath the lift, for a two layer repair that will hold up for a decade or two.
