This 40 year-old mother of two came from out-of-town to Dr. Tholen for consultation regarding breast lift and possible tummy tuck (“mommy makeover”). Although she had adequate breast volume for mastopexy (breast lift) alone, she wanted breasts proportionate with her body. She decided to add breast implants, and underwent bilateral full Wise-pattern (anchor) breast lift (mastopexy) plus submuscular augmentation with 420cc moderate profile cohesive silicone gel implants in one outpatient operation taking about 4 hours. Her light general (TIVA) anesthetic allowed rapid, comfortable discharge from our recovery room to a local motel with her adult caregiver (and driver). They came back to our office for recheck the following morning, and returned home for the remainder of her recovery. She returned for several more rechecks, and her after photos were taken 3 years later when she returned for consultation about tummy tuck.
