This gentleman presented to me with a Mohs cancer resection defect. I performed a two stage procedure spaced one month apart. The first stage involved creating a new helical rim using his scalp tissue from behind his ear. After this developed a new blood supply on the ear, I detached it from the scalp and formed the new helical rim.
