Patient had 2 upper front crowns placed over ten years ago. They had since discolored and the dark metal was showing through at the upper margin. Her tissue was very inflamed from the poor fit. She also wasn't satisfied with the overall color of her smile. Here, we whitening her teeth and replaced her old metal crowns with 2 upper porcelain crowns. In this photo, the tissue is still slightly inflamed but healed up very very nicely about a week later. We try to do metal-free dentistry whenever possible.
