Patient presented with significant periodontal disease and bone loss of all of her upper teeth which required extraction. All of the upper teeth were extracted and four dental implants were placed immediately. After a 3 month healing period, the implants were exposed. Her restorative dentist then fabricated a new overdenture with attachments to the implants. This design provided the patient with great stability of her denture allowing her to chew any type of food comfortably. The implants also help to prevent bone loss that normally occurs with conventional dentures. It is also easily removable for cleaning.
