35-44 year old woman treated with Breast Augmentation

This 39 year old professional woman and mother of two came to our practice to discuss a mommy makeover. Two pregnancies had taken a toll on her petite frame. She felt that her breasts were ‘deflated and drooping’ and her stomach had the excess skin that accompanies 18 months of pregnancies. She was also unhappy with the scar that remained from her c-section. Upon examination, Dr. Romanelli found her to be an excellent candidate for a mommy makeover. This patient’s version would be the following: a mini abdominoplasty or tummy tuck and a breast lift with a slight reduction on one side. This would lift up and even-out her breasts. This patient was very fortunate to be a candidate for a mini tummy tuck. In this case, Dr. Romanelli could go underneath the c-section scar, removing it completely. Because of the patient’s petite frame, he did not have to make a hip to hip incision. He was able to achieve the look the patient was hoping for with a smaller incision as mentioned above, under the patient’s existing scar. Surgery was just under three hours. A mini tummy tuck does not require an overnight stay, as it is less invasive. The patient was recovering in the comfort of her home by late afternoon.
