This 40 year old professional woman how developed a droopy left upper eyelid. She had always had natural eyelid crease, but was unhappy with her asymmetry. She also was considering having some excess upper eyelid skin removed on both sides since she could no longer see her natural creases due to the excess skin. Dr. Amadi recommended that she have staged surgery maximize her chance at a symmetry. He performed her upper eyelid ptosis repair via an external incision. In this fashion he will know with certainty, how much skin to excise on each side to achieve a more symmetric result. He will perform her blepharoplasty when she is ready for the next stage.
