18-24 year old woman treated with Breast Implants

This 19 year old patient has been considering revising her implants for weeks. She was referred to a plastic surgeon by a friend of hers. He discussed questions and concerns with the patient and it was decided that they would go larger in size and also go ahead with internal pocket repair or capsulorrhaphy. Capsulorrhaphy is the use of internal sutures/bra and it involves closing a portion of the breast pocket to correct displacement of the implant. This can also be necessary when breast implants fall toward the axilla (armpits) and therefore the pockets need to be internally sutured to keep the breast implant in the correct position on the chest wall. They decided to proceed to the operating room soon thereafter. She is currently 1 month and 4 weeks post revisionary breast surgery with capsulorrhaphy.
