This is a 31 year old who unfortunately was diagnosed with the BRACA mutation. Because of her significantly increased risk of breast cancer, she opted to have a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. She wanted to have the least amount of downtime after her surgeries and did NOT want to to have tissue expanders. Because she wanted to be about the same size, and because she had no other medical issues, we went forward with the procedure.
