29 year old woman treated with Saline Breast Implant Revision/Replacement with Gel Implants

This 29 years-old patient wanted replacement of her saline implants placed 10 years ago with a silicone gel implants for a “more natural feel”. She also wanted size of her areolas to be matched; she considered her right nipple to be slightly smaller. On clinical evaluation in our plastic surgery clinic we found no evidence of breast contracture (deformity). Her breasts were soft, nicely shaped, proportional to her body and pain free. We discussed replacement of saline breast implants with silicone gel implants of the same size (450 ml). Breast surgery was done in general anesthesia in our office based surgical facility. Saline implants were replaced with same size and shape silicone gel breast implants (450 ml) from the same manufacturer. She was discharged home 1 hour after surgery. She went back to work in 4 days. Images on the left before breast implant replacement surgery are practically the same as images on the right 8 months after breast augmentation surgery with silicone implants
