This gentleman had a rhinoplasty elsewhere and was left with a deformity known as a "pollybeak." This refers to the bump that can be seen just above the nasal tip. Two common reasons for a pollybeak are scar tissue, or incomplete removal of a bump during surgery. Sometimes both can be a factor. In this patient's case, the cause was incomplete bump resection. This was undertaken in a revision rhinoplasty, the result is shown here.
