23 year old Asian female who presented with a gummy smile and low self-confidence. Her options were to perform a gum lift procedure or jaw surgery to improve the proportion of gum v. tooth that she shows. She wanted to show more tooth when she smiles after treatment. Typically, the gum lift procedure is the more conservative of the two treatments so that was performed first with the option that should she be unhappy with the result, she could proceed to jaw realignment surgery (LeFort Osteotomy).
