Breast Implant Revision Surgery

This 52-year old patient from Carlsbad, California was interested in implant revision surgery. The patient is status post previous subglandular (over the muscle) breast augmentation approx. 1973, and breast re-augmentation (subglandular) in 1993. Due to several complications, including encapsulation, the patient looked into revisionary surgery for many years. In order to achieve her desired look, previous breast implants were removed, capsulectomy (removal of scar tissue around the implant). 400cc silicone-gel breast implants in both breast with submuscular placement, made by Mentor Corporation. The patient is now 5-months post-op surgery.
