This 55 year-old patient came to Dr. Tholen for removal of his loose upper and lower eyelid skin. Part of the apparent upper eyelid skin excess, however, was due to brow ptosis (drooping of the eyebrows and forehead skin). He underwent bicoronal (incision hidden entirely within his hair) forehead lift (brow lift), as well as upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty. After photo is at 3 months post-op. Frown muscles were eliminated, giving a permanent "Botox-like" effect while still allowing normal forehead animation, like raising brows. Note diminished forehead lines, while maintaining "non-startled" brow position.
