This is a 49-year-old woman was interested in abdominoplasty. She has three children. She has been bothered for quite some time by the looseness of her abdomen. She is an avid runner and exercises regularly. She is very small and wears a size 4. However, she is very unhappy with the appearance of her abdomen that does not change with her vigorous exercise and diet program. The patient underwent a full abdominoplasty because of her small size and little amount of fatty tissue; she had a shorter procedure lasting only 2-1/2 hours as opposed to 3-1/2 hours.
