This 19 year-old woman does not like her protruding ears, and has had to wear her hair to conceal them. Dr. Tholen performed otoplasty under local anesthesia, recreating normal ear fold anatomy and less protrusion. The patient returned home to normal activities after her 1 1/2 hour operation. Her bandages were removed in 48 hours, and her (behind ear hidden) sutures were removed on day 10. She wore a headband at night for a month (nothing during the day). After photos at 10 weeks post-op.
