Implant-based breast reconstruction

This 37-year-old woman underwent R mastectomy for treatment of her breast CA. She opted for immediate tissue expander breast reconstruction. She required radiation therapy to her right chest wall. This was followed by exchange of her tissue expander for silicone, gummy bear implant on the right along with placement of an implant on the left fr symmetry. Postoperative result at 1 year show minimal deformity despite radiation along with excellent shape, contour, and symmetry of her breasts.
