FlexSure is the world’s first body contouring treatment with a flexible radiofrequency (RF) energy applicator. Manufactured by CynoSure, its uniquely wrappable applicator curves around body parts—like the thighs, arms, flanks, buttocks, knees, and abdomen—that have historically been difficult to treat.Â
It delivers a deep-tissue radiofrequency (RF) energy treatment in an efficient, hands-free 15-minute session.
The newest addition to CynoSure's TempSure platform, the FlexSure device is FDA-cleared to elevate tissue temperature "for selected medical conditions such as temporary relief of pain, muscle spasms, and increase in local circulation." However, heating the tissue can also cause it to contract, which has body contouring benefits.
Pros
Cons
FlexSure RF treatments are suitable for all skin types and tones. There are no BMI restrictions, although like all body contouring procedures, it’s not intended as a weight loss solution.Â
An experienced provider can help you determine whether FlexSure is the best option for you.
Your provider will prep the treatment area before carefully adhering the peel and stick single-use applicator to your skin. Through the FlexSure device's Guided User Interface, they will have the option to set the applicator to a specific temperature, to optimize your treatment results.
Once the hands-free treatment session begins, the RF applicator will begin emitting heat, elevating the subdermal tissue temperature.Â
You’re free to relax for the 15-minute session. Your skin will feel warm, a sensation some patients have described as a gentle hot stone massage.
There’s no downtime after a FlexSure treatment. You’ll be free to go about your day as usual, with no pain or restrictions.Â
Unlike many body contouring treatments, FlexSure won’t cause swelling, and there are no reported side effects.
You’ll see results from a series of FlexSure treatments in four to 10 weeks. You can expect to need three to five treatments, depending on your contour goals and the area being treated.
Most people have three FlexSure sessions per treatment area, two weeks apart, to see significant results, but some see an improvement in as few as two. Others need as many as five treatments for optimal results.
