Which brings us here, to the latest installment of This Month in Aesthetics<\/a>, an ICYMI recap of industry-molding moments that we’d be remiss not to acknowledge—from an Oscar winner’s Botox confessions to a new study linking social media use and plastic surgery.<\/p>

Olivia Colman talks Botox use<\/h2>

The Oscar winner <\/em>revealed that she’s had “loads” of Botox during an interview on the U.K.’s Vernon Kay Radio 2 show<\/a>. This isn’t the first time the The Crown <\/em>star <\/em>has talked about Botox. In 2021, she told The Times<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>“I didn’t tell my husband [about the Botox] and then for about six months he kept saying, ‘Hello, Pretty!’ and then I told him and he found it hilarious. And then it wore off. It’s temporary. But I’ve always loved faces that aren’t symmetrical and teeth that aren’t flawless,” she said. Colman also said that she typically gets Botox<\/a> in between jobs; it’s been reported that she stopped before landing her role as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown<\/em>, <\/em>to be more in character.<\/p>

Juvéderm Voluma XC receives FDA approval for use in the temples<\/h2>

Providers have long used hyaluronic acid fillers<\/a> off label to address hollow temples<\/a>, a treatment that makes for a subtle yet impactful result in overall facial rejuvenation. Earlier this month, Juvéderm Voluma XC became the first to earn FDA approval for this purpose. More specifically, the approval is for “improvement of moderate to severe temple hollowing, with results lasting up to 13 months with optimal treatment,” according to a press release<\/a> issued by parent company AbbVie. (Previous indications for the filler include cheek and chin augmentation.) <\/p>
